Completely agree with radji1, while the chest area looks rather similar to the original galvatron that is pretty much where the similarities stops, the original galvatron was the size of the autobot metroplex when in robot mode whereas here he is the size of, silverstreak, acid storm ect. If you buy this it is best to leave it unopened and hope it is woth something once ur great great grandkids t passed down to them
This figure is awful. The many video review's on this guy are all negative, and i am too.
1. Proportionate scale, very small detail's. (For a leader of the decepticon's he look's pathetically small next to the other universe deluxe class figure's.)
2. Very fiddly transformation, (which would be a plus) that lead's me to my third and final greivance,
3. Very poorly manufatued, everything fall's off this guy.
If you see him pass him by, he's worse than animated soundwave.
What could have been?
This gives the universe line a really bad name, it falls to pieces doesnt stand correctly and just looks like a poor effort maybe one day galvatron will have a figure to match his position in the show but this is worse than a cheap chinese knock off- i reckon they would do this figure better
One to avoid! For all the reasons stated above and more!
Universe Galvatrons biggest let down is the fact that it was intended to be a much larger figure and then scaled down for a lower price point, why was this done? Who knows.
The transformation is fairly complex for a figure of this size but that in turn brings about the problem of limbs popping off due to small and fiddly parts. He has some strange extra feet within his back pack left over from a ditched 3rd mode or extra feature.
The Tank mode is excellent with nothing on show that gives away its transformer status. Plenty of detail. The tracks don't work, as they break up during transformation.
In robot mode it looks like Galvatron and carries obvious styling cues over from the G1 figure on which it is based - arm cannon, head and chest design. The tank is broken up so well that its not instantly obvious what he transforms into which is something I like to see. Due to his backpack he can be tricky to stand but the feet are big enough to do the job if you take a bit of time.
May not be one of the stand out figures in the line but for £5, its worth buying if only to experience the great transformation and to see what could have been an excellent Voyager or above class figure.
