For £17 this is amazing- the stabilty is fantastic. I have seen Apache's in real life and as this one hovers in front of your face you can see how realistic it is.
Problems- I had to tighten the screw holding the top two rotas after a couple of goes and it autorotates like crazy so when you fly forwards you have to continually battle its over-steer. BUT still amazing , the best small 'copter yet- better then my brohers £80 one
Got this for my son for Christmas and I have to say was dissapointed with it:
The USB cable was not in the box (it is supposed to be included).
On the second flight one of the wheels fell off.
The on/off switch seems very stiff and hard to move.
The helicopter ISN'T gyrco controlled (get a gyro controlled one as you're not constantly having to trim it).
An the throttle stick is weighted and returns to off. I prefer non-weighted ones as you're not constantly having to apply pressure to keep the heli on a hover.
There are better models out there. My brother in law has an almost identical model which appears stronger, more flyable and is gyro controlled. I got myself an S11G which is superb.
Just got delivered today and all I can say is wow!!
This was a belated birthday present and my first RC helicopter and I'm very impressed so far.
I showed my girlfriend and the look on her face was classic, she was smirking when it was in action.
It is easy to use straight away but might take a while to perfect, so far I can fly into the walls no problem.
Well worth the money in my opinion.
This is a fantastic piece of kit......... Dont think any other heli comes close to it...........buy one its brill............i have 3 and they bring hours of fun ..............................
I was sceptical so I read the reviews before purchasing this item for my kids. When I charged it up and it flew (by the way, this toy munches its way thru batteries so be ready), the expressions on my kids' faces said it all. fantastic toy. Hours of fun. Keeps the kids occupied. I am just fascinated by it too!
