As has been said in another review this is a beautful looking saber, that is till you power it up, and then its not so great, the problem is all in the blade which is thiner than other FX, just check it against a luke or anakin, its a sort of redish tint even when off and bends a lot so be careful if you hit anything or one.
this all stems from the fact no one can make a purple LED, its not poss, so they have used blue and put a red filter inside the blade tube, you can see the blue LED's if you look down the top end of the blade.
the only way to have a great mace is to do what I am doing, send it for a converstion to a luxeon or the new cree LEDS, 3w of power, a removeable blade, duelable and bright purple! my guy at JQ lightsabers, daren is a good guy and always willing to talk sabers or sci-fi so that is where my mace is going.if your happy with it as a display piece then it may just be ok but if not find a guy and tho it will cost a bit its worth it to make this saber… more »

Weight ~1kg / Hilt 11" / Blade 33"

Hilt is by far the best looking out of the ones available on Play. Mainly silver & gold detail with 'textured' rubber grip. The on/off switch is one of the golden panels towards the top of the hilt, nicely 'hidden' and unobtrusive. This sabre is very easy to spin (despite being heavy) as the are no surface obstructions, unfortunately however, the on/off is far too easily caught so will be going on and off mid-spin.

The blade, this is unfortunately the let down on this sabre. The blade appears more lilac (or light shade of bluey-purple), by no means is it as purple as the film, so this will dissappoint in my opinion. Further to this, there is very obvious patchyness to the blade along the entire length i.e. darker bits.

Speaker is fairly loud, though may get drowned out in a noisy environment. Sounds - unfortunatley these do not appear to be from the first trilogy, instead appears to be same sounds as Luke's (Ep4-6).

I would not suggest starting a collection with this sabre, due mainly to the blade's flaws (colour & patchy) and hence suggest only "collectors" consider purchase, especially as both the Vader & Luke offer better value for money.
