I purchased the Cosmos Black 3DS with Super Street Fighter 4 on launch day & i have to say it is BRILLIANT!!!! Graphics are Vastly improved over the DSi. they are somewhere between Wii & Xbox 360 level & the 3D effect is EXELLENT!!!

Taking 3d pictures, AR cards & pre installed Face raiders are so much fun!!! Creating Mii's are better than on the Wii. There are other features like Street pass & Spot pass which enables developers to offer DLC like on the Xbox 360 & PS3. Music player & Mii plaza are great editions too!!

Cant wait till Nintendo send out more updates. Ive read that there will be a Nintendo eShop, where you can download 3D Film Trailers, watch SKY 3D, download new games, gameboy classics & more. Also a Web Browser will be available very soon. Glad i bought one & will be getting the Aqua Blue 3DS one for my son.

I got to spend 45 minutes at one of Nintendos pre launch events on 12th February and the console is very impressive. Nintendo have pulled the 3D effects off extremley well. So well in fact that I can see this sort of technology replacing current 3D TVs. The 3D only works if you are looking directly at the screen, somone watching you play from the side would not see the screen in 3D.

The games that I got to play were Street Fighter IV, Ridge Racer and a few others I can't remember the names of. There was also Demos of paper mario and Starfox 3D, both of which looked excellent. One of the things I found really quite brilliant was the Augmented Reality feature. Basically, you place a card on the table (6 cars included with the console) and the console places a 3D image over the card which you then have to shoot. The target turns round and if you walk round the table the card is on you can then face the front of the target again. My girlfriend was even impressed and she's not a videogame fanatic.

Another very clever piece of kit from Nintendo which I'll be buying when it's released.

played it today and a nintendo preview event

this is mind blowing stuff. you really have to play one to feel just how amazing the technology is. sampled the following games: sf4, kid icarus, pilotwings, pro evo, resident evil, dead or alive, ridge racer, lego star wars, rabids, nintendogs, zelda, the free ar games. truly amazing stuff. resident evil was the best looking, zelda looked a bit odd with dated graphics but in 3d but the gameplay will be classic of course. dead or alive was the only game where i felt things actually came out of the screen as most are demonstrating 3d depth. not a bad thing by any means. this is the jump in handheld technology we have been waiting for since the first ds replaced the gba

Very cool but poor launch lineup

I have the black 3ds with Pilot Wings and it's amazing how well the 3d actually works. Problem is there is a browser but you can't use it yet (awaiting update) and you can download games, but not yet (awaiting updates) and there are some amazing games coming (Zelda, Starfox etc) but not yet. The system is genuinely impressive but the launch games are lacking, Nintendo need to start getting these other features added asap or they will lose momentum.
