The hugely popular and classic puzzle game Mahjongg is brought to the Nintendo DS.

Addictive Mahjongg brain teasers, with a historic fun story line. Only by solving the mahjongg riddles can the player stay alive and survive the deadly dragons attack. Mahjongg makes full use of the DS's lower screen where the player can easily interact with the stones, via touch screen, and the Nintendo DS Stylus. The upper screen displays the story progression. Picking a wrong piece sends the dragon into a frenzied attack destroying the castle, and killing anything in its way. Solving the riddle will take the player one step closer to slaying the dragon and saving the castle and its people.

Mahjongg is pure casual-gaming combined with long term fun, based in a medieval scenario of castles, knights and dragons.
  • Numerous game levels with 3 types of difficulty
  • Four different game-types - Classic, Tactics, Time-Attack, Match-Three
  • Historic storyline based in a scenario of castles, knights and dragons
  • Simple handling and navigation with the Nintendo DS Stylus
  • Many individual and freely selectable layouts for tokens and user-interface
  • Single-player or Campaign game modes

 A Relaxing Game

If you love Mahjjong, you will like this game. There are 3 different types of Mahjjong board to play (construction, dragon wall and race) and also a fourth game based on matching three symbols to clear them (like Bejewelled). Play have got their description slightly wrong. The nicely challenging story mode is actually set in Ancient China, and the story is based on a war between dragons and Chinese warriors. The game has an authentic Chinese feel, making it a lovely game to play. However, there are two minor things that, i believe, make this game flawed. The first is the music. It is beautiful Chinese music, but it is not loud enough to enjoy. The second is the game play. Two game modes are timed and one doesn't require you to nessacarily clear the board. The only regular Mahjjong board style is the 'construction' puzzle. However that's just my personal opinion, you may like this aspect of the game. Overall a very good game which is sure to give any Mahjjong fan hours of relaxing entertainment.

 Dauphin - Mahjongg

I think this is a fabulous game, it is very easy to get totally absorbed and find that two hours has gone by! I find it very relaxing and also so rewarding when you win against the dragon and then move on to the next puzzle. I am over 50 so can only speak for my age group but out of 35 Nintendo games I have, this has to rate amongst the highest so far. Yes music is soothing but I also find it rather irrating and repetitive so I just turn it off! My husband also finds it pretty hard to put down as well - perhaps we need to get out more!!!

 Addictive and frustrating

Excellent game - easy to begin with then frustratingly and tantalisingly hard. I keep hoping I can catch the game out and finally finish those last few puzzles. Recommended as a reliable way to distract you from doing those boring household chores!!!

have just purchased this game find it very relaxing, the only problem i have is that you dont seem to be able to save the games and have to start them again, unless i am playing the games wrong. which becomes boring after a time, if anyone else plays this game and can save the game could they send a review and tell me that is why i have given it 4 stars
