Driving Theory Training gives players the unique opportunity to revise, practice and take virtual tests on driving theory and Highway Code whilst on the move.

This will be the first time that the Nintendo DS has been used as a new media device to help learners study and simulate the actual test. Driving Theory Training is aimed at provisional license holders who need that little extra help to be successful when the day of the real test comes around and offers valuable help to anyone who's learning to drive.

Driving Theory Training will feature driving theory questions and answers officially licensed by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency). In addition to a full theory test based on the real life exam, learners can benefit from revision, graphs, minigames and questions and answers relating to vehicles. The application also features the full Highway Code, ways to learn and revise as well as fun games to entertain whilst stimulating the mind.
  • Over 1,000 questions for car and motorcycle learner drivers
  • Supports entire official DSA Question Bank for Approved Driving Instructors
  • Realistic Exam Mode, Training Mode and Challenge Mode
  • Includes the Offficial Highway Code - road signs, stopping distances, etc.
  • Statistics to show your strengths and weaknesses
  • Minigames - park your car, road sign games, and many more
  • Driving simulation to prepare for Practical part of driving test

 What A Fantasic idea !

I don't write many reviews but for this game i had too !
i myself am having my fist driving lesson if a few weeks so thought i would buy this to help me with my Theory Test . The best thing about this game is that it makes it fun ! no boring books to read ! just use the stylus to answer the questions ! the games asks you a question then gives you four options if you get it wrong it tells you the right answer ! First pick your Vehicle Car Or Motorbike then pick the game mode which includes Practice Exam , Progression, Practice , Random test ,the you have highway code rules and signs ! But one of the more fun modes is the park your car mode ! in this you use your stylus to controller your car wheel and park in tight spaces ! "very good fun"
overall if your learning to drive and you have a DS this is a must have ! very easy to use ! and would recommend to all ages !
Thank you for reading my review and i hope it helped ! :-)

 Must Buy for learner drivers!!

I bought this game as i dont get a lot of spare time and thought i could use it on my lunch breaks and while on the train to and from work! Really easy to use.
I bought this and passed my driving theory test first time!!!

 Highly recommended!

I got this a couple of days ago and so far I'm very impressed! This is brilliant to play even if you only have ten minutes to spare. There is a good practice section where you can attempt questions and then it will not only tell you whether you're correct or incorrect, it will also give you a little more information about the answer.

Definitely recommended especially for those whose who don't always have an awful lot of time to sit down and read through the books or watch the CD-rom/DVD. (In my opinion, it wouldn't surprise me if in the future they brought out a version for the WII too.)

 Gimmicky - But Useful Nevertheless

Learning theory can be boring... lets face it, and this game is jumping on the "training" bandwagon, and provides a convenient interface between you and learning theory.

It has all the usual stuff you would expect from a driving theory software, much papers, practice questions and road sign tests, but I get the feeling that there is nothing on it that you can't get from the DSA book, or even better the CD-ROM.

I just find it sometimes more convenient to reach fro my DS which can easily go in my back pocket than the book.

There are a few half hearted mini-games being passed of as "tests" where using the stylus to steer a virtual wheel you have to park the car into various parking bays, but can all be completed within 5 minutes, and are hardly any form of simulation....

Other mini games include a "pairs" style game which requires matching road signs, and as fun or as not fun it may be, not really useful in any way.

Plus notes include that it has the complete highway code on it - and cover both driving and motorcycle theory.

The only reason for you to buy this game would be that

a) You are learning to drive
b) You like the idea of doing this stuff on your DS
c) You have £15 that you're dying to get rid of

Other than that this game is purely a gimmick adding to the masses of "Educational" games that seem to be flooding the DS system...

 Seriously good!

I'm quite a gamer and I thought it would be a laugh to learn for my theory test using this.. turns out it's really good and I actually passed my theory test first time using mostly this! Seriously good idea for those who find learning a bit of a chore.
