In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that much of the wizarding community has been denied the truth about the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort. Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

Discover the Real Hogwarts: Use the Nintendo DS Stylus to put a wand in your hand and truly cast spells using spell gestures. Use the stylus to find and recruit the members of Dumbledore's Army, and explore the Hogwarts from the movie and discover its magical secrets. Talk to the portraits, complete their missions and gain passwords for shortcuts around Hogwarts. The player can interact with everything they come across, gain discovery points and unlock secrets in the Book of Rewards.

Attend Hogwarts Classes: Go to Hogwarts classes to earn O.W.L. grades and write your final exams: Herbology, Defence8 Against the Dark Arts, Charms, History of Magic, Transfiguration, Divination, Astrology and Potions. Feed and pet Hippogriffs and Thestrals in the Care of Magical Creatures mini-game using the stylus.

Play Wizard Games: Compete in Exploding Snap, Gobstones and Chocolate Frogs games throughout Hogwarts and challenge the best from each house using unique stylus gameplay controls. Share multiplayer games with friends who don't have the cartridge. Go head-to-head with a friend in multiplayer mode to play through Hogwarts classes and clubs games.

Flying Experience the Magic of Flying: Play games of Quidditch, accompany the Order of the Phoenix from Little Whinging to Grimmauld Place and fly the Thestrals to the Ministry of Magic.

Experience the Movie in the Game: Play the key moments from the movie, from the Dementor attack in Little Whinging to the ferocious battles at the Ministry of Magic. Experience the most authentic-to-the-movie game experience in Harry Potter videogame history: the castle is built from the same blueprints used to build the movie sets. Actual movie assets were referenced to create a more authentic feel. Many of the movie's actors have been head scanned, and the key Harry Potter music theme can be heard in this videogame.

         brilliant

brilliant game, tho there is alot of running around to do and the little compass annoys me sometimes i think this game rocks, good use of the stylus and buttons, and nearly passing our blowing the flames is always good also a brill selection of games..
and you can play quidditch, think its in the afterschool games section on the notice boards.

         A generous rating!

This game was a huge let down, the awful camera angles are frustrating, as are the people that get in your way as you try to move anywhere. Very simple tasks that involve a lot of useless running around are boring and soon completed.
The use of the stylus is well done for spell casting and mini games but that is the games only saving grace!
I suggest renting if you really want to play but if you're a fan of the previous games you're going to be disappointed as I was!

         Rubbish!

This game was a big let down. Mini games are v. simple and all you seem to do is run around hogwarts with people following you that often get in the way. The duelling is also very boring and quite restrictive and if you are unable to beat someone then you can't move on unless you beat them so it takes forever to get past sections. It is also very annoying that u can't save the game until you complete a whole challenge so you have to keep playing and then it doesnt tell you when ot has saved so you sometimes end up completing the same challenges again!!!

A good game but quite easy

This is a good, fairly easy game. As you play through the story, it tells you what to do and where to go. I found it quite addictive and the graphics are good. I like the way they incorporate the stylus to cast spells. Good fun, though not very challenging. Being a huge Harry Potter fan, Im glad I bought it.

         big let down!!!!!!!!

when i got my ds this was the 1st game i tried and now i wish i left it sealed!!! most of the time you are just walking round the school which isnt fun for example it will take you 15 minutes to actually get a misson started and it isnt worth the wait. the camera angles are terrible and that slows you down even more. as i love the books and films i found this a big let down.
