 For all Transformer fans!!

If you've got a DS and a fan of all things Transformers get the game now!!! Plays great, and as far as the DS goes, has nice graphics. Like the fact that you don't just play a character from the movie you are of your own making, to a certain extent. You can scan vehicles and become them, this also effects the weapons you have.

There's also the daily challenges which add a great touch as you can gain points which help decide daily if the autobots or decepticons win. You can also go to the game website to see scores, read forums, and join clans. Amazed that the little DS cartridges can hold so much game play and graphic.

If you love Transformers then this is for you as there is so much than just the story line you can get involved with. If your not a fan you will probably still enjoy this, just not full stars (or maybe, who knows!!). One of the best DS games I have in my collection.

 Better than the PS2 version

On this game I loved that you could actually climb up high buildings and get chased by the police. You even get to fly as a helecopter. It is a very challenging game that you will never stop playing.

 Surprisingly good.

Movie tie-ins on Nintendo's handheld systems have almost always gone down the "cheap 2D side-scroller" route. With the arrival of the DS, developers have started to be a little more creative, but unfortunately still remain cheap.

Transformers DS is a nice surprise in that rather than being a quick cash-in, I get the sense that a lot of effort has gone into delivering the best possible experience that the DS could offer.

You are given complete freedom to go wherever you want (within reason - Transformers cannot swim) in four different locations taking inspiration from the movie. The gameplay is made up of story missions accessed within the locations that vary from defending a fellow Autobot to going postal on rival Decepticons.

The story is delivered using both in-game cutscenes and full voice acting, including the voices of Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, whom fans will really appreciate. Whereas the Decepticons version is somewhat more original with it's plot, Autobots follows the movie plot as closely as possible so you will be already familiar if you have seen the film.
