The no holds barred, sci-fi fighting franchise is reborn on the Nintendo DS. Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers features all 21 Guilty Gear characters from previous versions and now the battle takes place on multiple levels across both DS screens with up to 4 players at once. Players will have to navigate different types of floors and traps as they battle versus CPU characters or via Wi-Fi connections in "battle royal" rules where the last person standing is the winner.
  • *Artwork subject to change
  • All 21 of your favorite Guilty Gear X2 #Reload characters like Sol-Badguy, Potemkin, May, Dizzy and others have returned for Guilty Gear Dust Strikers.
  • 6 modes of play including Arcade, Survival, VS Battle and Mini-games.
  • Customize the Robo-Ky character with various move sets in the Robo-Ky factory mode.
  • Battle your friends in 4-player wireless versus matches where the last person standing moves on.
  • Master 10 mini-games like Billiards, Arm-Wrestling and Sword Practice that unlock more Robo-Ky moves.
  • Beware of poison, fire, thunder and bomb traps set to damage unaware opponents.
  • Special moves like Psych Burst, Dust Attack and Roman Cancel all return in Guilty Gear Dust Strikers.

At least the mini games are fun.

As I mentioned in my other Guilty Gear review the series still has lots of the hacky, slashy bits.
Dust Strikers takes a different route by trying to create a Smash Brothers style game which is good in theory but takes away alot of the rock & roll that made the other games really good.
Once again the boss fight is unfairly difficult but at least the mini games are fun.
The mini games make up for a poor game, but seriously it's better to stick to the 2D fighting that made this series so famous.
