 Addictive but BRILLIANT !

30 minutes playing SIMS 2, easily turns into a few hours addictive play ; So make sure, that Homework / Housework / Tasks and jobs are done, before you sit down (With either a flask of tea /coffee or bottle of non-alchoholic liquid refreshment)... It's going to be a stretch, before you bother to visit the W.C. so spend a penny or two, before you get comfy! LOL
My 8 year old son loves this game (I limit his playing time)... and My Teenage Daughter Lives within SIM 2 World... She Loves it!
I try to get my hands on it, when i have a spare moment, to no avail ; It's always in somebodys DS !
DOWNER-NOT AS GOOD AS THE PC VERSION, hence the 4 STARS.
I also have praises, for SIMS CASTAWAY on DS.

A brilliant game for all ages

When I first started playing the game I was irritated with the way you had to play the game, as dictated by the goals set. As I got past the first 15 minutes, I realised this wasnt the case at all. After you have completed the first few goals you are pretty much left to your own devices and goals come less frequently, allowing you time to explore. A few things I must mention though

I had difficultly finding the rat cave, after I'd bought it. Make sure you explore all of downstairs properly, walk up to everything along the walls :)

It takes patience to learn how to catch goons and aliens but with some practise this is just challenging fun, rather than frustrating.

Make sure you keep the sound on at least a little bit, or you might miss your phone ringing in the corner.

Talk to everyone and get them to be your best friend, you will find out their secrets, everyone has one :)

Play the casino game lots and you will have enough money to complete the goals comfortably, also ensure you paint lots of pictures once you have built the gallery, if its good enough, you could earn $1000's of simoleons.

All in all I am really thrilled with the game, even once its completed you can still carry on with the game, ensuring you collect all of your lisence plates, skill points and find out everyones secrets. I give it 4 *'s

 a little disappointing

I love Sims, and while this version did keep me playing up to the end, it wasn't quite what i look for in a game. you can't buy much, or decorate at all. i finished it very quickly and was left thinking 'is that it?' worth borrowing from a friend, but i wouldn't say rush out an buy it.

 Nothing like the PC game

I bought this game because I love the PC version but I found it to be nothing like it, except for buying a couple of items of furniture now and again. The game is storyline based and a little too structured for my liking. For instance, you can romance the other characters as much as you like but you'll never get them to like you back. The real time was a bit annoying because if you ordered a new room it would literally take 8 hours to build. Also, you may turn it on for 10 minutes before bed and you'd be set a mission to complete in the next hour.
But I still gave the game 3 starts because it was entertaining enough and would probably be enjoyed more by a younger audience. There are some fun mini games like cards, alien autopsy and painting your own pictures to sell in your gallery. So I recommend it for light entertainment but you could probably only play it once.

 Another cracking sims game!

I don't get why some people are annoyed with it not being a normal sims game. I don't get why they are. It is a really good game. Worth much, much, much more than £11.99 which it is at the moment. If you want a normal sims 2 game buy a PC and get the PC game! This is a excellent game. You are a hotel manager and you have to do missions to make your hoptel as good as possible, You can decorate your room and the guests room with all sorts ofdecorations and furniture there are mini games to unlock and you can even do some painting... whats not to lose??
