Still one of the best games of all time even after 14 years!

I remember playing The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time on the N64 back in 1998 and being blown away by it and now the game has blown me away again with it's amazing 3d graphics which are a big improvement over the old N64 version. The way in which the story unfolds and the play area in which you explore is just so epic. Ocarina Of Time really was a ground breaking game ahead of it's time and even now it plays better then most games which get produced by the lorry load. The swing slot is controlled by moving the Nintendo 3DS system and works very well indeed. The touch screen controls for all the different menus is very user friendly and quick to use. The boss fights are very impressive and pretty challenging later on that can be a bit frustrating at times. The music is very catchy and I sometimes find myself tapping my foot. Playing the Ocarina has always felt a bit magical to me for some reason and riding your horse Epona feels realistic and is great fun. I thought to myself that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii was the better game but after playing this game again on the 3ds I'm not so sure. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is one of the few games which lead the way for many to follow on so many levels and thats why this game has stood the test of time with flying colours.

  Oh my gosh!!!

I bought the nintendo 3ds just for this game and i was glad i did. The whole game is completly in 3d although i didnt play the game in 3d all the way through as i felt it hurt my eyes after a while although at times i thought stuff it as the scenery/cut scenes were so good! even in the normal 2d mode the game is a lot sharper - making the graphics fantastic.

Zelda OoT is also a huge game - i feel with certain nintendo ds games the games are small, making them quick and easy to complete, however with this game there are probably about 12 dungeons and a million different side quests to complete.

The game is excalty the same as the N64 but after you complete the game, you unlock a master quest (a harder version with certain things back to front).

All in All, a fantastic game, definelty worth the money. Shame the game hurt my eyes after a while but even the 2d version is immense.... A must have!!!! Buy NOW!!!

  A bona fide classic

Ocarina of Time (OoT) is a genuine classic, and one of the most celebrated games of all time, and not without good reason. When it was released for the N64 in 1998 it was a revelation; a fully 3d adventure game with a scope that was scarcely believable. Many of the ideas in the game directly influenced titles of today, that's how important it was. It was truly a landmark in design.

However, thirteen years has now passed. Can OoT still hold it's head high? Yes is the simple answer. It's no longer quite the jaw dropping spectacle it once was, the once sprawling fields of Hyrule now feel rather empty and small, but it remains a brilliantly crafted adventure and the enhanced graphics and the truly terrific 3d effect mean it'll keep even OoT veterans happy.

Yes, it's showing its age a little now but if you've not played the game on the N64 before, I'd even suggest it'd still be worth that missing fifth star in the score. In any event, if you own a 3DS you need to own this game.

Just like the original, but better

I am a fan of the N64 original and bought this in the hope that it would be close in terms of scale and gameplay. I must say the visuals and 3d on this are superb and the gameplay even more compelling. I've played all the 3DS games and this is by far the best. Buy.

Even now its the best game ever made!

just got the game a day ago and it is hard to stop playing.
the graphics looks great and the 3D feels so natural.
the only part where 3D is not working well is if you are aiming or looking around.
even the easter eggs are still in the game!
it took just a little time to get used to the controls but they just work.
the touch menu is a great feature and makes choosing items and weapons a lot easier and faster.

and dont forget the price!
in stores it costs 49.99 euro and here just 37.49!
one of the main reasons i bought a 3Ds is for this game and its worth it!

What a game... It's still as good as it ever was

So, Link and Zelda have made their way to the 3DS, and it's mind blowing.
The controls are fantastic, the aiming system is great fun, turn the ds, and you look around.

And, theres even a treat for when you finish the game, because you'll be thrown into Master Quest, which, again, is as good as it ever was.

If you own a 3DS, this is the game to buy, forget the other games for a while, just... get this, you will not be dissapointed.

  Great game just got better

This is a classic and I'm amazed at what a great job they have done with it. the 3D does add to the game in places and certain areas look so much better then the original. it plays really well, the controls are spot on and your have lots of fun (re)visiting the game. i would say its worth the money and is one of the best games on the 3DS (DOA is also worth a mention just for the extra content they send through alone)

Unfortunately it was delayed getting to me and i didn't get the case, 5* for the game 2* service.

  The masterpiece has been improved.

Ocarina of Time is widely considered the greatest game of all time. It was revolutionary and charming and managed to capture the hearts and memories of many people around the world. Now, OoT has been remastered for the 3DS with superb new graphics and textures, and a few added features. The new graphics are beautiful. They are exactly what the original artists of the game wanted them to be without the hardware limitations of the Nintendo 64. The gameplay hasn't changed and this is a good thing: it's fantastic. The controls, however, have had an overhaul and mostly for the better. Items have been remapped to the touchscreen for easy access, however due to the limitations of the 3DS' control input they have to use the touchscreen to map some of the 'C' buttons from the N64 controller.
The graphics look stunning in 3D even though it appears anti-aliasing is reduced. The depth is fantastic and some of the 3D effects are beautiful such as the spirits in the world and the graphic when you play a song on the ocarina.

The addition of hint videos, a revamped Master Quest and a Boss mode add extra playtime and also help out newer players who may struggle on some of the harder challenges.

Not much as changed, because it never needed it, but what has is excellent. If you are a fan of the original game, Zelda of have never played them before you owe it to yourself to try it. This is the best version of the greatest game of all time.

i know it will be great.

i know this will be amazing its the best game of all time. its just a shame i can't play it as play.com are yet to deliver it a week after they claim they dispatched it. it's a shame this terrible service is already tainting my experience with zelda.
