Requires Motivation But Not Bad Once You Get Started

I thought this game was awful at first, i didn't like the camera work and the Sim's needs ran out way to quickly. But then my boyfriend started working his way round it and i watched and noticed it wasn't that hard. Now I've seen someone else play it and 'show me the ropes' its become easier and I play more often now :)

  Boring and annoying

I bought this after thoroughly enjoying Sims 2. It was nothing like the previous game, it was awful! The interactions with the characters and the surroundings were akward and clunky, no ease at all to it, unlike with the Sims 2. If the interactions had been the same as on Sims 2, and you viewed the world in the same way, it would probably be a brilliant game, but unfortunately I lasted an hour before giving up.

I expected this game to be similar to the other sims games ie building houses, making friends, gaining skills etc but its none of that. All you are is a vet and you wait for animals to come to your practice with an illness. Manyof the illnesses are the same, so the same treatment is needed for each pet. Theres nothing else to do through out the sim day except attend to basic needs, shower, toilet and eat, which again gets repetitive.

  Not so good

The game play is to repetitive, apart from curing the animals there is not alot to do. I wouldn't recommend it

Quiet a good game, grapics let it down though. Start off as a vet in a small house, and gradually move up and buy larger houses more space etc. Quite annoying that you have to look after your sims needs to; they go down ery quick. If you think it's just having pets and living normally, it's about running your own vetinary. Overall quite a good game :)

  Alright I guess

The game is alright. You start off in a small house with a pet after a while a customer comes you see whats wrong usually fleas, worms or theyve ate a ball or something like that usually it takes three days to cure them. A very annoying thing is the fact that amongst curing pets and stuff like that you have to do stupid stuff like go to the toilet and take a shower or you smell or wet yourself. Another bad thing is is you have to cook where there is a fifty fifty chance that the guy likes it.sometimes its a good laugh teaching your dog tricks playing with them and it is pretty addictave so overall its not bad

if anyone tells you not to buy it...

do NOT listen! i found this game very enjoyable game worth the money. you have to be a vet and cure the sick and injured animals, you can bath them, play with them and train them whilst making money all at the same time! also choose a pet of your own, to love and care for. brilliant.

  not what i thought

i thought it was like the pc game but its not its all about being a vet makeing money so if your loking for a game about being a vet choose this on but if your looking for a game were you build a house and look after pet think again.

I have been playing this game over the last few days and initially, found it great. You have your own house with attached vet clinic and you greet your customers and diagnose their pets. You can then keep their pet at your clinic and deliver whatever medicines etc it needs each day until it is cured. If you succeed you are paid and your reputation is raised etc. If you don't, customers threaten to tell all their friends you are useless.

You also cook meals for your sim on the cooker which can be tricky but it's something else to do within the game.

Over a couple of days of play I've treated cats and dogs for things like flu (give it medicine)and fleas (wash it in flea shampoo) and EXPECTED this game to progress to more exciting things but having read previous reviews, it doesn't look like this is going to happen! The game has told me a few times I have had a 'promotion' as a vet, another thing that made me think the game would progress to bigger and better things but it doesn't seem so.

For small children however, the activities like washing pets, brushing them, chasing them with a stethoscope etc might be great fun.

It is a game with such potential, how about a variety of animal types, or more exciting treatments? Wasted.

I thought it might progress once I had enough 'simoleons' to buy a larger house/clinic but no. I have found the layout hard to navigate around and fitting furniture where u want it is a nightmare. For instance the kennels in which you house all the animals are too huge to fit where you want them, so if you want more than one to improve your business it's difficult.

I must stress that I've only played with this for a few days, but it seems very disappointing. I loved Sims2, and the Sims2 castaway wasn't bad but this is very different. If you are after a pets game get something totally different.
