what can i say this game is rather cute!! from very cute designs to simple gameplay, easy fro all ages. altho not your typical sim game it dus have many sims elements, suh as the little crystal appearing aover the head and the language is pretty much the same, but this is way to similar to animal crossing.
the gameplay i must state is extremely easy, you do tasks such us planting flowers to helping tourists out. controls are very easy to use and everything is straightforward. you eventually get the chance to make your own town and your own designs thanks to the touch screen!
the graphics are bright and colourful, the designs are easy on the eye, smooth gameplay, alot to explore, but i found the movement of the chars a bit slow for my liking.
so overall if your into animal crossing this would be a great addition, otherwise i would not rate it as a definiate purchase. indeed the graphics are great and gameplay isnt too shabby, but it tends to be a bit tedious and drags on a bit.
The graphics are great, the colours good. Its addictive, I feel like smiling when I play it.
I cant stop playing this game, I got to name my own town and go around playing, meeting new people and doing nice deeds for residents of the town. For this you get money which allows you to buy clothes (great for girls) furniture for your house and items to make the town look good.
For instant I met a character and I did some fishing, I caught a barracuda...Wicked. In return the man paid me.
Its addictive and great for all ages boy or girl.
To start, anyone who has ever played 'Animal Crossing' will recognise this straight away. It is extremely similar, but not in a bad way.... the gameplay is pretty much the same - you talk to towns people, go around the town offering help, arranging furniture in your home...
Access to the game's menus (maps, inventory, etc) is with the touch of the icon on screen so no need for pressig buttons and searching. This game is extremely fun and light hearted. Fishing is particularly comical when you land a big'un! Very easy to pick up the controls. Easy to understand, difficult to master. It is a perfect game for anyone with a sense of humour and of course any 'Animal Crossing' fans like me who wished there was a new version created.
Surprisingly few signs that you are playing a 'Sims' game as the only references really are the green diamond above your character, currency is Simoleons, and the 'simlish' language. You will not be let down by this game. Easily worth the money any day.
If like me you were a big fan of Animal Crossing, but fancied something new, then this is definately the game for you.
My Sims is slightly more advanced than animal Crossing, with a wider area for growth and development. You being with a town that used to be a popular tourist attraction, and its your job to converse with the tourists and locals to make then happy enough to stay! There are lots of mini games, such as racketball and skydiving, and as you progress you earn stars, which open up more areas.
The downsides to this game are that it can be quite longwinded. Unlike Animal Crossing, where you just pick up your fishing rod, here you have to confirm you want to fish, pick your rod, etc, which becomes frustrating after a while.
Overall, I am really enjoying this game. Sorry, i know I keep comparing it to Animal crossing, but thats because My Sims has copied so many of its ideas (tailors, fishing, shops, working to create the perfect town) However, this has so much to offer, and has been keeping me very entertained for hours!
Wasn't exactly sure what to expect of this game but as a fan of The Sims and the DS I thought that I might as well give it a go.
Although very simple and obviously aimed at a younger audience, the bright, colourful graphics and the cool design made for a very, fun, enjoyable game.
If you're a fan of the Sims and young at heart then this I would definitely recommend this game.
