I love this game. The plot is good and it requires you to think carefully and use cunning. It does make use of the touch screen too. Don't listen to the people who say it's rubbish!

What a dismal let down! Considering the capability of the DS this game has all the qualities of the early 'Game Boy' games. The scenes are flat, wooden and two dimensional, it is difficult to tell where you're upto and progression is slow and limited.
In comparison to the many excellent titles available for this clever little gaming unit The Golden Compass tells of something that was obviously rushed into production to coincide with the film release, with little or no real effort being put into it.
My son bought it for me as a gift and for that reason alone I will keep it, otherwise it would have been re-sold immediately as even my nieces thought it was very poor.
Come on Nintendo, stop palming us off with such inferior products and continue to produce games the likes of 'Tomb Raider', 'Zelda' and even 'Spyro' to mention but a few. This unit deserves no less, and neither do we.

I dont't know what game were the other 2 people playing, but I loved it. The graphics were good and the story had me hooked for days. I would recommend this game and I will keep in my collection, which only the best games stay in.
