I love my scrabble game, have had it for a year now and still play it. Only thing that annoys me is some words are not recognised like 'Zen' or 'Lego'
ARGHHHH!
great game

I bought this for my wifes birthday its very good. multiplayer game using 2 nintendo ds is great no more knocking over the board or losing tiles. The only problem is it makes you reconect after each game. Single player mode is also addictive you have to create aprofile in order to save your progress. For under a tenner its brill might buy another for myself.
Good but Could have been better

If you want short, challenging games of scrabble.. this is perfect.
it also includes three other games, anagrams, escalators etc..
But i wish it had a dictionary. this would have been very useful for when your playing scrabble in real-life.. to check if its in the dictionary if you don't have a real one handy.
Also, i went to quit ternament and it deleted my game which was really annoying, so haven't bothered playing again since.
Still , it's a good game, and for the price it's well worth your money!
=)

this game is superb but it does not let me move the high letters, this maybe because my ds is broken.
Triple point scorer it aint!

Im a keen scrabble player and thought that this would be a good game to get and add to my collection, but i was a little disappointed.
The game is the same as it always has been... thats the good part, the bad parts, you dont have a history of your scores, or even a record of how youve done, the career mode is just far too short and sweet and for a game which could of had so much more potential, i have the feeling that the producers thought they already had a market of people and not to worry about trying to add bells and whitles to make it as great a it could of been.
If you like scrabble like i do, you'll still enjoy the game, but dont expect it to sing and dance
Very disappointed

Bought it the for The Wife and ended up playing it myself, though I was soon disappointed. Main problems are:
- dodgy definitions (confused "pole" and "poll")
- doesn't define all the words made
- computer chooses foreign words and gets away with spellings that I can't find in my copy of the Collins English dictionary (apparently "sh" means "shilling", "tay" is Irish for "tea" and "June" is illegal).
Buy only if you are illiterate.

I fancy myself as pretty good at Scrabble, though I'm not in a club and have never played competitively. When I first got this game and started playing the career mode, I thought it was great, though it's pretty annoying that you have to 'unlock' higher skill levels by winning games. They should be available from the start for more experienced players but this game seems to make the assumption that players are either unfamiliar or new to the game, as evidenced by the constant stream of 'hints and tips' on the top screen which are obviously meant to be helpful but which are distracting if you don't require them and are also un-turn-offable. I'd much rather have seen this screen used to display game stats but the word definitions are a nice touch, even though the definitions of every word formed in a turn aren't shown - just one is. Frustrating if the definition shown isn't of the particular word you're unfamiliar with. But back to the career mode: I was really enjoying playing against the virtual AI, which offers a reasonable challenge at 'National' level, and managed to reach the World Tournament pretty quickly...but then the game starts having a laugh. In the World Tournament, you're expected to make all your moves for the ENTIRE game in just 5 minutes. This, against an AI opponent who can play high-scoring words in mere seconds - what chance does the human brain have? Though I'd rather not play with a time limit at all, in the World Tournament it's mandatory. 5 minutes per turn would've at least been reasonable but for the entire game it's ludicrous. How on earth are you supposed to think, sort your tiles and then place them, and win the game against the best AI the game has to offer...in just 5 minutes? Sorry, but that difficulty is just outrageous. I don't do speed-Scrabble, I'm afraid. I like to think about my move, meaning I'm stuck with just playing meaningless 'quick games'. The near-vertical difficulty hike at 'World' level ruined the whole game for me and I probably wouldn't have bought it had I known this. Why couldn't we just have had all skill levels available from the start (the challenge then being to beat the computer AI of one's chosen skill level), with the option to set our own game parameters, ie. time limit or no time limit - just like every other virtual version of the game I've ever played? Still, the interface is nice - if a bit fiddly - but I could do without the childish 'avatars'. Stop trying to 'jazz up' Scrabble - it's just Scrabble, okay?
