Love the game its fantastic - wonder if they will bring out a Miami and New York one - I know I'd buy them

Good but only if you've not played the PC version

If you played the PC version theres not much point buying this one unless you really liked it and want to play it through again but on the DS.

# The port didn't do the game that much harm
# Stylus works nicely with this game
# Considering what it took to run the original the DS does very well when emulating it

# Voice overs were cut
# Clues from the team are useless
# A lot of the clues can only be found by sheer luck

Brill game, Not what I expected though.

The game is great but harder than i expected it to be, especially finding some of the smaller clues. All the characters look really life like and act like they do in the show. I would buy other CSI games if they were anything like this one!

Could of been a lot better...

I'm a fan of the TV Series, and watch it religiously, and when i heard about Dark Motives coming out for DS, i was pretty excited. Of course, when i got around to playing this, i was really disappointed.

There are 5 cases to solve in the game, each case testing your abilities to deduce a situation and to follow the evidence, much like the series, but there is no direction. The game doesnt tell you a thing. It expects you to just know what to do next. the only time it helps you is when you want to question a suspect, and even then it constantly reminds you how you ask a question, which is done by just selecting it from the touch screen. It's like it babies you in the easiest part of the experience, the interrogations, where all you have to do is read the dialogue and ask questions to proceed, but then as soon as you've finished that, the game seems to take a back seat, and allows you to go off and roam on your own. that would be great if you knew where to start. Also, you'll think you've cracked the case, and you have enough notes to back up your arguement, but for some reason, you cant get a warrant for a location, or a reason to drag someone in for interrogation. So you find yourself staring at the screen asking yourself..."what the hell do i do now?"

Watching CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and then playing this made the whole game so much more realistic than other games you play. The Fact that you have to do a lot of the work yourself is great. Thouroughly enjoyed. A must buy for anyone who is either interested in the whole Forensic Science area, or who enjoys a bit of a brain-teaser from gaming sometimes. I'd have to say it is one of the best games I have ever played, if not the best, in terms of how realistic and demanding in thought it is!!!
