Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon

Harvest moon with really scary monsters! I did enjoy playing this game making friends is easier than in the harvest moon games you really dont need to try very hard. The graphics are better than most ds games ive played recently and i like the cave fighting.

As usual the male player is slightly annoying i think that there should be multiple players to choose from. Also you dont get to raise ordinary animals you have to catch monsters from the dungeon which takes quite a long time.

I also dont like the fact that you have to gather your own materials to build your house it takes ages.

However overall its a good game to play when your bored and easy to come back to.

This is one of the first games I bought for my DSi and it's still one of my favourites. There's plenty of stuff in this RPG-type game to keep you hooked for a long time. In fact, there's a bit of everything; farming, cooking, fishing, exploring, fighting, mining, crafting weapons and mixing potions, socializing (romance included), plenty of humour... all in one and it's been implemented quite nicely! I never expected so much out of this little number when I bought it.
Some of the things you can do in this game, like expanding your home so you can have access to high level craftsmanship, cooking and pharmacy skills can take a while, but there's no reason to rush in this game! You can take your time doing things and this is actually one of the elements of the game that adds to its staying power as well as being relaxing.
I'm now in year 3 in the game and I've yet to marry, although I've found my bride. I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to propose!
The fighting in caves is also very well done, the monsters are beautifully animated and there's plenty of alchemy reagents to be found there.
Also there are natural effects like rain and subtly shifting colours for the day/night cycles that add to the realism!
This is a great game overall!
I can't wait to get my hands on Rune Factory 2!!!
