  Good Game

This was a good game and was much easier and more enjoyable than the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

It also has better game play.

There is only one bad thing, it is short and you can complete it quickly if you play for hours at a time on your DS.

All in all this is a good game and if you are thinking about getting a narnia game this is the one i recommend

  Not bad but...

I agree with the previous review, yes the game is quite repetetive but i think the combat system is what held my attention to the game.

There are many different characters who join your group along the way and each with different weapons to fight with, this blends very nicely with the stylus interaction.

For sword attacks you swipe the stylus across guide lines for accurate and powerful hits, precise timed taps for dagger attacks, magic spells where you repeat sequences and my fave is the bow, pull back, aim and fire at the target.

I actually found myself running into the enemy instead of sneaking around them just to enter more battles, in my opinion it is what holds the gameplay up.

I havent seen any of the films but of course read the story as a lad, i think this game plays well but lacks extra gameplay away from the battles, you just wander the map killing everything off until you get to the next checkpoint and cutscene.

I like this game, but it obviously loses stars for its downfalls, i would say buy it but to be honest its not worth the money, give it a few months to come down in price.

I was disappointed with this game overall. Whilst the combat system was innovative and fun, the rest of the game really let it down. The graphics were poor, certainly not the best that the DS could deliver.

I completed the game in a few hours, minus the various sidequests. I simply could not be bothered with the amount of time it would take to wander around screen after screen of forests which look the same, fighting the same monsters time after time. I did consider going back and doing the quests after the game was finished, only to find that I couldn't! If you complete the game, you end up stuck in a room, wandering round and round.

Sadly, the game has also put me off going to see the film. I'm not going to give anything away, but whoever changed the story so much from the original books should be shot.

I seriously recommend against spending any money on this poor excuse for an RPG. You'll probably just end up like I did - completing it out of sheer frustration, and then thinking "Was that it?!"
