I bought this game for my 4 year old. He loves it and so do i. It makes any other racing game we have look really slow. I love doing the tricks which builds up your nitro boost so you can take over other racers.
I would definately recommend this game. Check prices though cos you can find some good deals.

  great game

this is a great racing game; the tracks are awsome and you can do some well good stunts (like ramp/ half-pipe jumps n that). and the more races you do the more drivers and tracks you unlock.
I would definatley recommend this game, money well spent.

  Great for all ages!

Bought this for my 4 year old son but I now play it as much as he does (if not more, after he's gone to bed!!!). I'm usually useless at racing games but even I can play this - and play well!!!

  For £18? Buy it.

For a licensed game owned by the WB this game is shockingly good. I got it purely for a laugh, to see just how bad it was. I was so suprised that i've been sneaking quick races in at work. I would say that it's a cross between wipeout 2097 and mario kart. The Tracks are very big with a few different paths in places as well as some massive stunt jumps that let you pull upwards of 720% flips and twists.

There are a few problems with occasional lagg and a few places that can be exploited to gain masses of points (which i don't think was intentional). Unlocking stuffs is abit of a grind and drifting is pretty hard to get the hang of meaning you'll spend alot of your first few races scraping across barriers on corners.

It's £17.99 and it's far better than most of the games in that price bracket for the DS.

Possibly the best DS arcade racer outside Mario Kart...

Combine the tracks of F Zero with the car combat of Burnout, then throw in additional stunt moves. Bingo - Speed Racer. It's technically impressive on the DS with loop after look of rollercoaster-style tracks spiralling ahead of you, and, once mastered, the car combat is very well balanced and effective when used correctly. No single-cart play or online play means it drops a star, but up to 6 can race with separate carts.

A surprisingly enjoyable racer that's well worth the May 2008 asking price of 17.99.
