Animal Crossing: Wild World

Animal Crossing isn't just a game it is a way of life . It is not something that you can hope to complete in a ten hours and then never play it again, so if you are looking for a game that fits into that category then stop and don't buy this game as you are more than likely to hate it and give it a very bad review when it really isn't a bad game!! It's a living town that you visit every day and speak to the local fossil expert or the bodybuilding rat or whatever bodybuilder you have in your game (Mine is a rat named Rod). This is a game you will grow to love over time.

Even if you are like me and still play it almost a year after buying it you will still be buying furniture for your mansion, trying to complete your bug or fish collection and growing large turnips which take a week to grow (you have to water them every day). In order to pay off your mortage you have to get money, to do this you may have to run errands for Tom Nook the owner of Nook's Cranny (the local shop which gets bigger as your house expands) or you could catch fish or bugs which you can sell to Tom Nook for money or you could sell the turnips which you have carefully watered and tended to for a whole week (believe me, Nook pays well for good turnips).

On top of all that you will evolve yourself in thee local community and meet some very interesting and fun characters along the way, you will be invited to contests, markets and events, some of which only take place once a year, weather it be Yay Day (a day where everyone has to say something nice about someone else) or the Flee Market (a day where people enter your house uninvited and begin asking you how much you are selling a particular item for) you are sure to have a good time as this is a game that it may take weeks or even months to really come alive however that is not to say you can't dip in for a short play. There is no rush to pay off your mortage and you can just pop in and catch fish or harvest a fruit tree for some big bells (the currency).

And then once you realise that you can visit other people's towns the game just gets better and becomes more difficult to put down. Animal Crossing is an excellent online game and if you swap friend codes your mats can come and visit you (up to four friends). Once (after ages) you have fully completed the game, meaning you have your five story mansion, got all the bugs and fish and done everything else that it would be to long to write, you may be tempted to just stop and put the game down as it becomes repetitive but at that stage you have got so much use out of it really paid itself off. Overall I recommend it highly, even over Harvest Moon.

- You may need a lot of time to play it (hence why it didn't get the full 5 stars here).

Judging by what other reviews here have said, theres much contrervsey (yes I know I spelled it wrong) wether this game is fun or not. However, as my title says, this is possibly the best game I've ever played in my life! I admit that i got addicted to this game. In the game there is so much to do- it really feels like its your second life. However, I warn you now- the game is only as good depening on how much effort you put in- if you just make ur town a mess, forget to save and turn off (a mole named Mr.Resseti has a nag at you when you do this)and make your villagers say rude things you'll just get bored quickly. My advice is: Dont just take the easy ways- like harvest and sell foreign fruit- all the time. Mix it up a little- catch some bugs and fish and sell them.Wait- I havent really explained what the game is about yet, have I? Well, you play as a young boy/girl who moves into a village full of animals. When you make a new village it is completely randomized- no two villages are the same. There isnt really an objective to this game- but there are a few challenges which are hard to fully complete- such as pay of your mortgage to get a mansion, collect every bug/ fish. In each day I found my self catching bugs and fish, decorating my house, talking to the animal friends- and each day is different- theres different weather and seasons, and on some days there are special events and visitors- such as a fortune telling cat! Really, I dont know how to finish this review. I'm having trouble writing it! Hm- lets move on to animal friends. When you really get into the game- you get really attached with these. You can talk to them and most of the time they have something new to say. They're the same size as you, and they live in a house just like yours. And heres another clever little touch- when you send them a present (yes posting letters is yet another thing in this giant list you can do) it appears in their house. Theres 6 different animal personalities- but If I told you them you could instantly recognize what a certain animal's personaility is like, which is a bit boring because you then find out that they say the exact same things as another animal in the village. Being best friends with an animal is a fun challenge- they might give you their 'picture' which looks really awesome in your house, and you can show it off to your friends. Now.. what else could i explain... well, I better not spoil any more suprises! I'll give you a little hint though- go to the coffe shop downstairs in the museum on a saturday night, after 8pm, and you'll get a little suprise....
BAD BITS:
While my review has been positive so far, there are a few niggles which have made me stop playing for periods of time. One of which is animal dialogue: Once you've played it for a month you start to notice they repeat themsleves a lot. This case is worse than others in some personailtys.Fishing is fun but its a bit annoying sometimes- like in the summer when a mosquito bites you and you automatically pull your rod out. And.... thats about it really!

VERDICT: You need this game! Just buy it if you have the money! Itell you now, you may not play it for a period of time, but you'll find yourself coming back to it every now and again! This is a superb game. 5/5

My sister got this game for her birthday, and after watching her play on it all day I decided to go ahead and buy it! After playing on it for a while, I realised I couldn't put it down!
First of all when you play, you name a world which the game will automatically pick out a random world for you! You name a character, and choose boy or girl. Unfortunately, you have to deal with whatever random character the game picks for you! After that, you can create a flag for your world. You can create many different patterns which you can have on clothing, umbrellas, hats and even in your house! In your house you can decorate it the way you want it to be, and every time you pay off your mortgage you get a bigger house (an extra room or extended floor space). But this game is not one where you complete it, you keep going and going! It snows in the winter and you can make snowman! The weather effects are amazing, and the competitions in your town are really fun! You get to meet your animal neighbours, and if you befriend them long enough, you can receive a picture off them! Things keep moving along in animal crossing, neighbours leave..etc. You have to go on everyday because you get weeds or you can mither one of your neighbours to stay longer in your town instead of leaving!
The best thing though, is connecting with your friends and family - you can play a game of hide n seek, go into the museum or a house - even swap patterns! You can chat too! An endless game of fun, I recommend you buy this game!
This is one of the best nintendo games, maybe behind or equal to Mario Kart which is THE BEST game of all time!

Animal crossing on DS is by far the best game ever. First off you will have to fill out all your infomation and then you will arrive in a taxi. It will then guide you to the town hall where pelly will be waiting for you. Once she has gone through all of that, she will show you where your house is located. DON'T GO THERE STRAIGHT AWAY! Go to all of the animals houses before going to your house. Talk to all three/four of them twice. Then you can go to your house. Once you have had a look round, you will have to go out, and Tom Nook will come running to talk to you. He will jabber on about your mortgage and tell you how much to pay to get a house upgrade. He will say "Why don't you come by and work in my shop". I'm afraid to say this but you HAVE to do it. He will give you some jobs to do. The first one will be to go and plant some flowers around the shop. You can do that. EASY PEASY! Tom Nook will then give you a break to go and talk to all his customers and the Mayor. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO SOME OF THAT. You only have to go and talk to the Mayor ONCE!!! Then just go back to Tom Nook's. He will say "Did you introduce yourself to everyone?" Tom Nook will then set you some exploring jobs which include "Delivering carpets, wallpapers and a watering can. Sending messages by post and posting notes on th Bulletin Board outside the town hall. Once you have done all that YOUR FREE!!!!!!!!!! Then you can just do whatever you like. Buy This Game!!!!! :)

This game is really really good, the reason why i gave it a 4 star rating is because when I play on it (because it is such an addictive game) it can get boring. I think though that you should buy it because it takes a VERY long time for it to become boring but it isn't really!! I LUV IT!!!!
