When Princess Peach disappears into the past in Professor E. Gadd's time machine, Mario and Luigi travel back in time in hot pursuit, only to come face-to-face with baby versions of themselves, the princess and Bowser. Threatened by an evil race of aliens known only as the Shroobs, they must team up with their younger selves and travel back and forth through time to save the princess and her kingdom.
If you thought their last adventure was insane? In this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the brothers travel back in time to retrieve Princess Peach, only to come face to face with baby versions of themselves, the princess and Bowser.
Teaming up with their young selves will soon send Mario and Luigi on a quest of lunatic proportions as players must control both the adult AND baby versions of the Mushroom Kingdom heroes. Players use the top screen to study the land, keep track of the pair of brothers not under their control or maximize combo moves in battle. With twice the Mario brothers and twice the laughs, this massive sidesplitting adventure could only find a home on the dual screens of the Nintendo DS.
  • In this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Mario bros. team up with their young selves on a quest of lunatic proportions. Control both sets of bros. to explore the very fabric of time and take on an evil alien entity known as the Shroobs.
  • Duke it out with crazy foes using the celebrated fast-action battle system unique to Mario & Luigi games. Dodge enemy attacks individually, then use items like the Trampoline and Cannonballer to team up all four bros. for super moves.
  • The second screen will quickly become the players' best friend as they use it to study the land, keep track of the pair of bros. not under their control and even maximize combo moves in battle.

Another fantastic title from mario and the gang, will these guys ever give up? I hope not. I never played on the GBA version so I can't tell you if this is better than the old one but I can't imagine it being better. Apart from the fact that you don't use the stylus, this game was just meant to be for the ds. The dual screens work brilliantly for the gameplay because you have to solve puzzles (quite easy mind you for the seasoned gameplayer) that involve separating the baby brothers from the older brothers and working from 2 screens almost simultaneously.

The weapons you can use are really fun and the baddies are inventive - just like every other mario game, they are so cute and look like they are really enjoying themselves!

The game has elements of pokemon because you have hp points and when you battle a baddy you have to take turns in hitting each other, but it also has elements of Zelda and the Minish Cap on the GBA because you have to use the baby brothers in tight spots just like when Link Shrinks. The battle's are all basically about timing, meaning that you've got to hit the button corressponding to the character at exactly the right time which can be challenging but not in a horribly annoying way. Definitely one of the best games on the ds at the minute.

I found this game absolutly fantastic and anyone wanting a fantasy game - you should have this.
I have had this game now for 4 months and still not completed it because they is so many twists in the plot line. I love the baby's , they even have their own peronalitys. but hand eye co-ordination is needed as you sometimes have to mange the top and bottom screen at the same time.
This game definatly deserves the 5 * rating.

A great Mario game which is full of Nintendo magic!

Mario And Luigi: Partners In Time is a very funny role playing game which has a wacky story where you travel back and forth through time. You get to control Baby Mario and Baby Luigi as well as their adult forms all at the same time. The adult Mario brothers can throw the Baby Mario brothers down holes which are out of reach. Also there are lots of different moves to learn and you can upgrade your characters states too. This really is a great DS mario game which should not be missed and I can't wait for the sequel which is due out later this year.
