Not everyone is innocent until proven guilty! Players star as a defence attorney, who must prove his seemingly guilty client's innocence no matter how dire the circumstances may seem. The game presents twisting storylines and intriguing gameplay in a comical anime style. Players must collect evidence, weed through inconsistent testimonies, and overcome corrupt agendas to ensure that justice prevails.
  • Play from the first person perspective through five intriguing cases
  • Investigation phase - survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court
  • Court phase - present findings from the investigation to support your case, listen to testimonies, examine witnesses, and determine what is fact from fiction so you can prove your client's innocence
  • Colourful cast of characters

For those times you just need to shout 'OBJECTION!'

Great game, great story line. Each storyline is connected but very different in it's own way.

The game is set out like a cross CourtRoom/Investigating. Sometimes the investigating can be quite annoying because you've missed a tiny bit of evidence in a room, but it just makes it more satisfying when you finally find it! The charecters (Especially the Nerdy directory who would "oft3n sp3ak liek dis :)" was good fun.

With a total of 5 episodes (Each about a months + lengh for me) guaranteed the game lasted a long time. The ending is as perfect as you'd imagine it to be, but I won't ruin anything for you =).

So to conclude, definitely a buy for any DS owner who's always wanted to try out being a lawyer!

This DS game by Capcom is great and throughly enjoyable game.

Basically you are a Lawyer who goes by the name of Phoenix Wright who has to uncover clues and motives to defend your client in court.

It's packed with action and funny quotes and the added feature of yelling Objection down your DS to cut of the prosecutor and gain the advantage in court adds that extra feeling of being a lawyer.

Once you start playing this game you will not want to stop until you client is cleared and to do that you must provide evidence and find contradictions in peoples testimonies to uncover the truth.

The only negative I can draw up from this game is once I finished playing with it I really didn't want to go back to it again as there is no alternative story lines to go along.

Overall a truly great game with action left, right and center. Not many have heard of this game but it's definitely worth trying out on your DS.

Gosh, i have to admit, i truly did underestimate this game.
Utterly fantastic. At no point was i bored.
Clue in the title, you are phoenix wright, a new defense attorney. Now, right there, people are automatically going to say "wow. Fun" with a sarcastic tone, but hear me out. While it sounds lame, it's one of the best games i have played on the ds.
The storylines and cases keep you on the edge of your seat, so much so that i couldn't put down my ds. The soundtrack is also fantastic. Just adding to the emotion and tension.
Buy this game.

Best game on DS in my opinion.

I am a huge fan of the PW series, and the start of the series fails to disappoint. There is 5 cases, which might not sound like a lot, but many of them include unexpected twists which mean they can last up to a good week, depending on how long you play them in a day. There is never a boring point in the game, each moment is interesting and humourous at the same time. The characters are brilliant to the game and it's easy to get used to them.

One thing people may see as a negative is it's high reading content, but this is the type of game it is. You will need to not mind reading in order to enjoy this game. Case 5, which is a case that has been added especially for the DS version of PW, has some touch screen abilities which are interesting, fun and different.

In conclusion, if you dont mind a reading based game, and love a game that is full of twists and suspense, this is definatley the game for you!

This is my favourite ever I love it and it's so additive.
This game is a fun point and click game with 5 different episodes to play. In this game you play a Lawyer named Phoenix Wright and you have to find evidence and talk to people to try and solve murder cases. When you're in court you have to try exposing people lies to find the truth to do this you will have to press the witness and present evidence. You can use the Nintendo DS microphone to shout OBJECTION. There are some great people in this game like Maya, Larry, The Judge, Edgeworth and Gumshoe. At times this game will make you laugh but it can also be frustrating at times but it really gets you thinking. I have played throw this game trice and it is easier the second time round but the story line is so good that I will play it again and again.
