  Waste of money

The animals appear tiny on the DSi screen which can make it difficult to manage/interact with them. The graphics aren't very good at all even for a DS game. If you want Zoo Tycoon i highly recommend you get the PC version instead.

  No good on DS

I love this game on pc, but on ds its very difficult to use and not as much fun, because the animals are tiny and you cant really interact with them in anyway. I only paid £8 for it and feel its a good game at this price but i wouldve been very disappointed if id paid any more for it. This is a great game on pc so get that instead

This isn't a good buy - trust me

Trust me - this really isn't a good game. I have the game on PC and it is 1 million times better than this one. It is restricted and boring, and on top of that the graphics are bad and it is no fun. Sorry but for me this is the worst DS game I have bought. But on the bright side - one of my best PC games is Zoo Tycoon 2 - so buy this instead - It's great!

Yet again Nintendo DS fails miserably.

  Great Game, but keeps Freezing!

I loved this game it kept me amused for hours, building the cages for the animals and the food court for the visitors etc. My biggest problem though was that everytime I tried to go back into a saved game it froze and I was not able to continue. It seemed to happen when I had finished my zoo and there was lots of information saved. So I have had to start again 3 times. Would still recomend it though :o)

Dont Judge A Book By Its Cover

When i bought this game i thought it would be really good because the cover and description really intreaged me however when i started to play the game it poorly explained how to play and wasnt fun and interesting! The point of the game is to keep animals happy. It had no meaning and i got bored within the second i started playing it. I was 11 when i got the game and i havent plated since last year.

I found this game good fun, although yes, the harder levels do take a bit of practice.
The scenario games start at easy and go up to advanced.
The Advanced level can be slightly frustrating, but with practice, you will get past them!
You can also play Freeform games which are great because they have no time limit.
There are also tutorial levels for first time players.
Great for fans of Sim City or Theme Park, a similar type of gameplay.

All round, good fun and i can't wait for Zoo Tycoon 2!

  It's alright...

...but not one of the best games for the NDS.
If you liked the PC version of this game then you may be slightly disapointed some minor details found in the PC version are missing, but this will not effect you if you have only ever played this on the NDS.
The graphics are ok, but not fantastic, but not bad considering thefact that they are displayed on a much smaller screen than Zoo Tycoon was origionally meant for.

If you like games such as The Sims, Sim City or any of the other Tycoon additions then you will like this.
Its great being able to build your Zoo up step by step, creating different animal enclosures and attracting customers to your Zoo. This is a game that you can go back to time and time again creating better Zoos each time.

With practise this game can be brilliant

In my opinion this is a good game but takes some time to get used to. I found the tutorials irritating but essential because trying to play the game without learning the basics is both frustrating and doomed to failure.

Learning how to look after the animals is essential, playing the zoo missions is the best way to learn the game, the beginner levels are easy but not boring, the intermediate levels are considerably harder and im still completing them.

Make sure the animals enclosure is top notch and you will win enough awards to ensure your zoo income is high enough to continue the game. Make sure your research is top notch if you can afford it.

Overall a very enjoyable game and highly recommended by me.
