I must agree with the first review as there isn't a tutorial to get you started nor is there a beginners level, it just throws you right in the deep end. The picture puzzles are also known as 'Nonograms' and you might have seen them on a game called 'Mario's Picross'.
I can only explain it as a paint by numbers where you are given a grid, the colours and how many squares on the grid you need to fill. Based on the grid references and trial by error, you should end up with a picture. This makes it sound really easy but once you have a play about with it you start to understand how it works. Failing that, you can always do a search on the internet for Nonograms where you will find some helpful guides.
It's worthy of 4 stars as it will exercise your brain for hours and when you understand how to go about solving the puzzles, it's really enjoyable. It loses that last star because it doesn't really give you much help if you're new to this kind of puzzle.
