New from £44.95

After Bowser gets hold of something called a magical Vibe Wand, he kidnaps Mario and Luigi and heads back to his castle on Vibe Island with an emotional troop of minions in tow. Intent on rescuing the Mario Bros., Peach gives chase, only to find herself affected by the emotional vibes given off by the island. Using these newfound vibes to channel special abilities, she sets off to rescue Mario and Luigi.
  • Bowser's finally gotten wise and kidnapped Mario, figuring that since he's the guy who normally does the rescuing, no one will be around to rescue him. He's in for a big surprise, though, because Peach is armed (with a parasol) and dangerous.
  • Besides whacking Bowser's minions with her parasol, Peach can channel emotional vibes into special abilities: floating through the air when she's happy, burning through bridges when she's mad or making vegetation grow with her tears.
  • Join the princess as she runs, jumps, floats and fights her way through eight worlds to where Mario's being held.

I bought this expecting it to be of Nintendo's usual very high standards and all I got was a very average and cynically-pinked platformer.
There's nothing particularly wrong with the game but if you were shopping for something special then you'd be better off looking in NEW Super Mario Brothers direction.

For those who like the old-skool platform 2-D Mario you will enjoy this game as I did...and voilla I am a Male! It has some of the traits of Super-Mario Bros. still in it...coins, pipes etc. but also adds a few of its own innovative ideas to the plate such as rotating the whole level to get round it and using Peach's moods to control certain aspects of the game. Unlike Mario also, the Boss stages are much harder, and you have to pass a "stylus" mini game to get to them first. I would recomend this as a great buy to any Mario Fan...despite what the people below say haha! T xx (uk)

If you are a parent who is struggling to find a quality age appropriate game for their little girl of about 7 to 12, this is one of the best games the amazing DS library has to offer along with soul bubbles and nintendogs amongst others. Its cute, colourful and will offer them a challenge whilst still not being frustratingly hard. Granted, it doesn't have the same polish as the main mario titles such as new super mario brothers but there is plently of fun and classic platforming to be had here. The mini games are also quite diverting and fun for a time, though again, no where near as good as the new super mario bros mini games. The only other negatives are that It is easy for the older player and of course it won't appeal to boys. I thoroughly enjoyed it and takes pride of place in my collection, enjoy!

 I love this! Sooooo girly!
