Pokémon Emerald is storming onto Game Boy Advance with a vengeance. The third adventure to take place in the Hoenn region, Pokémon Emerald features all-new areas and exciting new plot twists.
The story begins when your character, a young aspiring Pokémon Trainer, moves to Littleroot Town. Crammed amid a truckload of boxes, our hero enters the foreign neighbourhood eager to explore. Shortly into your journey a challenge arises and you must choose from three Pokémon - Torchic, Mudkip or Treecko - and begin a quest to become the world's best Pokémon Trainer.
Veterans of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire will recognize a lot of the locations in Pokémon Emerald, but many elements within the game have changed, the most exciting of which is the addition of the Battle Frontier. The locations and frequency of Pokémon are different, and you may even encounter a new Gym Leader in your journeys.
  • A new Pokémon Battle Frontier that is more advanced and challenging will test the skills of the best Pokémon Trainers.
  • Players will need to train hard to battle against the new seven Frontier Brain competitors in order to obtain all of the symbols in the Battle Frontier.
  • Bring full cross-compatibility to this game by connecting to Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen.
  • Wireless multiplayer trading and battling with up to four players using a wireless adapter.

 Ruby+Saphire=Emerald

This is literally Ruby and Saphire in one game. One big difference is that you can catch both Groudon and Kyogre at level 70 instead of getting one or the other on their designated game card. Battle frontier adds another interesting aspect to the game, featuring 7 battle towers to compete against to prove your worth as the true Pokemon master!
With Connectivity to Diamond and Pearl on the DS, this game is worth getting while you can, before you get completely engrossed into the DS versions. Transfer your Pokemon from your Emeerald version onto your Diamond or Pearl via Pal park, they keep the same OT identity and the same items you gave them, however, they dissappear from the Emerald cart forever, so make sure you don't regret it!
Great game, must have! Best GBA Pokemon game ever, a good GBA send off!

Excellent game but BUY WITH CAUTION

This game is excellent, easily better than Ruby and Saphire.

However if buying this game please make sure that it is genuine as there are lots of piracy going on as i have discovered.

The label should have a shiney foil effect with a stamp indentation on the right hand side. Also look under the cartridge and there should be NINTENDO written on the chip. Unless ALL these 3 are present then contact the seller and get a refund, as it is not genuine

In the case where you do get a geuine version, this is an excellent game and will definately be value for money. A must buy for pokemon or any RPG fans. Just please exercise caution

This game is ten times better than ruby or sapphire. It has new innovative gameplay such as the ability to battle Team Magma and Team Aqua in one game, giving it a fresh new approach. Easily the best one and perfect to play if your waiting for diamond/pearl.

 Good Game

Most pokemon games are very much worth it. Emerald is very similar to Ruby and Saphire altough it has a few minor changes. It's a good game, if you've enjoyed playing older versions such as Gold and even Yellow you'll enjoy this vesion very much.
