The Nintendo GameCube WaveBird Wireless Controller uses revolutionary RF technology that allows people to play Nintendo GameCube from anywhere in the room, without wires and without having to be directly in front of an infrared receiver.

The WaveBird Wireless Controller replaces standard controllers. Up to four controllers can be used at one time. With the WaveBird Wireless Controller, you can play up to 100 hours on just two AA batteries.

 Wavebird for the wii

i dont have a gamecube, i have a wii and i bought 2 of these so i could play the classic games i downloaded. i'm really not bothered about lack of rumble. As soon as i got these mario kart 64 was on most of the day! what a blast. the controllers are very very comfortable to hold and the wireless fits in with the way a wii should be played.
If you have a wii, get a wavebird, simple.

Wavebirds are becoming very hard to find, good to see Play selling them again! :D

 Ideal wireless controller

This works absolutely perfectly - there's no lag or delay - absolutely nothing that is detremental to the gaming experience.

You plug the receiver into the GameCube/Wii, set the channel on the controller to match the receiver's, and away you play.

It doesn't have a rumble option, so as not to wear out the batteries too quickly. It takes two AA batteries and they last for up to 100 hours.

Glad to see Play are selling them again, as Nintendo is rumoured to have ceased production of them, so get it while you can, get some GameCube games and enjoy yourself!

This controller was excellent when it first came out, the very first wireless controller on any console. However its major flaw is that it lacks a rumble feature unlike all modern wireless controllers. This creates the situation where you are missing a part of all game which one plays and where trying to play certain games like Mario Party which need a rumble you are at a huge disadvantage.
