Review

Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong and a cast of their cohorts have dusted off their clubs and set their sights on the Toadstool Tour championship. Two new styles of golf courses and a new swing system offer both the seasoned Mario golfer and those new to the game a fresh look at golfing in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario Golf almost makes it into the realm of great game cube games but falls just short, this is due mainly to the lack of diversity in taking your shots. You have all the usual things like back/front spin but it all comes down to well timed button pushes. Its such a shame too cos there are loads of different game modes to play and six main courses to hit around. The ability to connect to the GBA version of Mario Golf is a great idea but not well executed, exchanging data to use your GBA charecter on the cube works well but once you have your stats raised and a good set of clubs it becomes too easy, letting you hit the ball almost twice as far as your rivals, it would have been better for the game to raise its difficulty by letting rival charecters get better stats too.

Overall a thoroughly enjoyable game and very worthy of a place in anyones collection.
