If you like the films then you will revel in this great game version, however be warned that it isn't the most difficult game in the world to complete but that being said, is it fun to play. Too right it is, there is something very satisfying about being in the Matrix yourself and the game captures the films feel perfectly. If you have ever watched the films and longed to get stuck into the nitty gritty of action, then this game won't disapoint. There are so many things that are good about this game especially those who are true fans of the film.

Firstly this game contains scenes that were specifically shot for the game and aren't viewable anywhere else unless you buy the 10 disc DVD box set. The filmed scenes fit in perfectly to the films and, like the animatrix (also on DVD) add a huge back story to an already great story.

Playing the game itself you have the ability to slow everything down to bullet time. This is one of the best features as you have certain moves that are only availbale in this mode. When you have weapons again you can do certain moves such as flips and jumps whilst firing that make you harder to hit and slows everyone else down. See a space that you want to jump and can't make it normally, switch to bullet time and you'll find you'll be able to make it easily.

The controls I must admit aren't the best I've seen on a game, sometimes you move to quickly and can't seem to hit the enemy because you're moving about all over the place. However once you get used to this feature you will know the best positions to be in when you are going to fight and you'll be pulling some great moves.

You can also choose to play as Niobi or Ghost, each offering a slightly different aspect of the game, for example Niaobi being the pilot will always drive vehicles whereas Ghost will always do the firing. Basically if you like shooting games or the films, you should get enough enjoyment out of this.
