The face of war has changed. Enemy lines blur, and there is no longer a clear opponent. New enemies and new threats require a new type of warfare - a new type of soldier. Enter the Ghosts.

In 2013, the U.S. Army will implement the Integrated Warfighter System (IWS), evolving what we know as the modern soldier. IWS combines advanced weapon systems, satellite communication devices and enhanced survivability into one fully integrated combat system. The IWS program has been developed to meet these new threats head on. Now, it can be tested on the battlefield.

Following an insurgence in the heart of Mexico City, the U.S. Army's most elite Special Forces team is deployed to the centre of the conflict to regain control of the city. Greatly outnumbered but fully equipped with the IWS, this elite team is the first and last line of defense on the battlefield. They are the "Quiet" professionals. They are the Ghosts.

Become the soldier of the future. Gain access to the future of military technology. Using a fully integrated combat system with cutting-edge weapons and revolutionary communication systems, gamers will embody the soldier of the future. Based on actual U.S. Army research, the Ghosts give gamers a realistic view of how war will be fought in the next decade.

Revolutionary feature. Use the revolutionary Cross-Com, a communication device powered by satellite technology. Attached to the soldier's monocle, the Cross-Com provides full situational awareness and command of the battlefield. Command the Ghost squad and remote allied forces and drones, and direct artillery and air strikes. See what the squad sees and receive visual and auditory intel from allied forces and unmanned drones.

Stunning urban environment. One city, multiple locations. Advanced Warfighter takes place entirely in Mexico City, one of the world's largest cities. A stunning, meticulously detailed universe will provide complete immersion in the urban war of the future.

     My favourite Tactical shooter

Tactical really doesn't come much better than this.

I was only a causal tactical shooter fan until this game came along. And since it has, I can honestly say I prefer this to say Half life 2.

While it does have it flaws, the shear enjoyment and EASE of controlling your squad is a joy. Combined the effective controls with the squad commands and it really is a next gen tactical shooter .

The weapons are also a high point, with most being able to be modified with a scope, silencer or grenade launcher.

It you played the original Ghost Recon or one of its expansion pack like sequels and didn't think it was for you.

Then pick up GRAW for under a tenner and see for yourself how far the game has come.

There is a reason the xbox 360 version was last years overall Game of the year.

The PC is just a good if not better

     Great game great price

    Top 100 PC Reviewer

I've got this on both 360 and PC. I think the 360 version is better because it's written to run on the 360 and use the hardware to full advantage.

The PC version is some what different in the actual game. The levels are different. But it is still damn good.

The only problems I found are:-

    1. You need a heck of a system to run it smoothly. I have a 6800GT on a AMD 64 3000 and it chugs at 1024 res. So be warned.

    2. I haven't been able to get multiplayer running for some reason. I recon on the pc multi player will really rock.
