 Absolute bargain

I've used Fritz since it was at version 5 and it just gets better and better. For the million plus game database alone it's worth the money. You can whiz through the games of grandmasters as quick as you can hit the cursor key, or you can use Fritz to analyse the position and evaluate and suggest moves. As a playing program, you can handicap it as much as you like and the strength is... awesome. It also comes with a years subscription to the playchess.com servers, where you can use the Fritz interface to play human players online. At the price of £17.99 a bargain (but for the same price be aware you can currently get version 11 of the software)
