I have been patiently awaiting this true expansion pack. I was so disapointed with Biowares so called DownLoad Content. Let me just say if you love Dragon Age Origns and want more. Then I cant hesitate with my recomendation for getting this exapnsion pack. You get more and better spells! better armour! You can enchant! your armour now. You can even make your own rune stones, which is great. There are so many things I could mention. My only critism of this expansion pack is its simply not as long as origins. I hope the next expansion pack is as equal to lengh as origins. Just buy the game you wont be disapointed!

 Excellent expansion.

If you like the original Dragon Age you will like this expansion as the game doesn't vary much. What makes buying the expansion worthwhile is what made the original so good in the first place - the story.
How the guy in the previous review completed the game in 3-4 hours is beyond me, it's not the longest game ever but it's definately longer than that.
The only real let down for me is the lack of a love interest this time. This genre of game is aimed at the more mature gamer (lets face it, a lot of us started gaming in the 80'/90's and have grown up now). Don't let a few prissy media types scare you off making adult themed games please developers.
The graphics are good without being spectacular. Movement is still cumbersome although seems to be a little less so than in Origins.

The thing that really sums up this game is that you find yourself careing about characters you meet and what becomes of them which has to be classed as a success in this genre.

Good expansion, some very fun battles

Just finished playing through the expansion my first reaction was that areas are more detailed then the orignal game, however Iwas a bit disappointed that character bonds and achievments didn't transfer to the expansion. For example I finished origins being queen but Nathaniel refered to Anora as being the queen.

As said the areas are more detailed my favorite area was Amaranthine every where you looked it was refined and polished to look real. Only drawback that this town is really small compared to origins or neverwinter night towns.

This expansion also offers some great battles, There is a fun battle againstt a lightning dragon that really reminded me of MMOs. Other fights had you fight with multiple bosses at once, while others had multiple adds spawning in the fights. Boss fights were all different and really enjoyed my self repeating them again.

About the main story is short, and didn't evolved much, in brief new dark spawn incursions that you have to stop. However there was a side story about blackmarsh town that was really engaging even more then the main story.

About characters I got to say I was happy to have the funny Orghen back, he always have good jokes. Voice over of all the main cast was good however Anders character was to similar to Alister it was like Alister became a mage.

Final point that the game still has many bugs and crashes occasionally

 Amazing
