This game is a good even if you are reasonably new to cricket like me. This game has an endless training but once you play a game you realise that that endless training wasn't long enough. The training is full of cricket jargon e.g "Yonker" but it tells you what buttons to press so I wouldn't worry about that. You can play all the major teams in cricket (apart from Scotland and Holland). You can play a "quick" twenty twenty which take about an hour and a half (but don't worry, you can save half way through a match) or do a test match like the ashes which take about 5 days to do. The bowling is brilliant and the batting is expectional. A must buy.

..NEEDS AN X-BOX CONTROLLER TO PLAY IT!!!! BEWARE OF THIS BEFORE BUYING. Doesn't say this on the box and I've just had to order one from Play.com to even get into the gameplay (unless you wanna go with the keyboard) so I'll have to wait a few more days before I can play it, no other gamepad supported hence three stars.

             Good for the price. (£1.99)

Ashes Cricket 2009 is a decent enough game on the whole. The last cricket game I bought was 99 World Cup which had it had two options for batting attack and defend. This takes a significant step forward allowing you to play on the back foot or front foot and choosing from three shot types. It's a little buggy has crashed a few times and the commentary from Shane Warne is quite poor but I bought this game in the sale for 1.99 and for that you can't go wrong. Cricket simulations have yet to get anywhere near the football equivalents but all in all it's worth trying.

occasional glitch and when graphics are on full it can be very jumpy. but that aside a good game that can be very addictive. disapointed that you can not be a domestic team but the international teams and grounds are extremely detailed.
