In Battlefield 2142, players choose to fight for one of two military superpowers - the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition - in an epic battle for survival. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech weaponry, including assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also take control of the most lethal vehicles known to man. Massive battle Walkers wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When taking on this futuristic armor players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new hi-tech countermeasures like EMP grenades and smart mines to level the playing field.

Epic online gameplay for up to 64 players drops gamers on the front lines as part of a formal squad, or behind the scenes in Commander Mode to direct the strategic assaults of their team-mates.

Titan Mode - Wage epic-scale war to defeat your opponent's Titan, a massive flying warship, controlled by the team's commander. Players must destroy the Titan's shields, board the craft, fight to it's reactor core and detonate it from the inside - all while defending their own Titan.

64-Players Online - Experience all-out war with Battlefield's legendary multiplayer for up to 64 players.

Real-Time Persistence - To the victor goes the spoils! Equipment, medals and other rewards are awarded in-game and in real time. Choose an unlock and have access to it immediately next time you spawn. The game features five times more unlocks than Battlefield 2.

Customisable Abilities - Gamers can expand their abilities and blend multiple player classes to match their play-style.

Lethal Vehicles - Gamers control menacing Battle Walkers that stalk the land and futuristic gunships that patrol the skies. APC's and high-speed recon vehicles keep the action fast, furious and unpredictable.

High-Tech Weaponry - EMP grenades, sentry guns, smart mines, cloaking devices, and more change the rules of the Battlefield forever.

The world has changed - Fight for survival on the Battlefield of the 22nd century in brand new locations from Minsk to North Africa as the ice presses down from the North.

adverts what adverts if you got time to see them move server

Having had this now since it was released, I can say that this has overcome all my expectations. For all the vexation about in game adverts, if you have got time to look at the bill boards then you are on the wrong server my friend and the action is too slow.
The commander option allows you to try to take control of unruly troops and organise an attack on you opponents core assets.
The game play is very much like all the other battlefields 1942, 2 etc. but that is good as it makes it easy to pick up and play. The graphics are excellent and the new game play mode of titian certainly makes it worth getting.

             Exellent Shooting Game

Yes, this could be just a mod, but I haven't played any of the first Battle fields anyways, so playing this is just amazing to play. I like playing WW2 games and modern warfare, but I do prefer the slight futurist battlfield. I really do love this game, one of the best shooting games Iv'e played for all these years, and I do reccomend it. Though you do need a powerful computer, that's the downside, and I do hate the thing where you MUSt have internet to even play the single player (I think) But I have the internet so it's no problem, this game is meant to be for multiplay. Best game from EA for me.

very fun game and a very high rating

this game is so fun even for first timers like myself.
at first you may not understand but when you play for a while you'll understand and become a master.
it does take a while to get to grips whith each and every wepon, even though it takes ages.

if you heve played this game then you'll understand that this is one of the best online games available in stores at this time (alongside with call of duty 4 m.w )

This game beats battlefirld 2 hands down.

much more in the way of guns, and blowing the bad guys heads off, with new future weps is nice to see.

I very good move forward for the BF line of games.

In this game you get much more you can build your char up, unlocking weps as your ranks goes up, keeps you coming back for more, just to get that kicking ungrade to blow away a bad guy.... Great, the upgrades are far better, you get a forcefield upgrade, so you can lay behind it, and blast away. new helm to see what and who you are attacking etc, just get this game, ive missed out for a long time, and now im already looking at the addon, ive had the game since xmas:)
Only down side, still loads of cheats in the game, you would think they would have done more to sort the problem out, the regen points do change from time to time, but still not enough done.

But get this game a must have.

             Love it.

After being a huge RPG fan and moving to FPS i started playing Battlefield 2. After about 2months i began to look for a new game. After being so pleased with Battlefield 2 i decided why not try Battlefield 2142. I saw a few bad reviews for BF2142 and people rated BF2 more highly. I decided to go with the few good review i had seen however and well i have to say overall impressions = very good game!

After a rocky start of not actually being able to play online until i downloaded a 400MB patch and dying lots at the start the game only got better from then on. After just one day i feel i am making good progress and have unlocked half the upgrades for Assault kit. My kill-death ratio is evening out.

The game overall is slightly more challenging than BF2 and is very tank/helicopter based. Running about the large maps apart from flag captures/close combat you don't stand much chance of doing well.

The new titan mode however is great fun. Easily beats Conquest maps. Also i find that the BFHQ is a million times better, on BF2 my BFHQ never actually showed my progress despite playing on ranked servers and the game time was always 0. BF2141 doesn't have this problem and after and during play on a ranked server the BFHQ is instantly updated.

The starting ranks are made easy so theres plenty to unlock and keeps you hooked. Sadly from what i can tell theres no real sniper kit. I think a sniper can be unlocked from one of the kits, but from what i can see theres no sniper kit as standard. The use of customization works fantastically as you can revive and heal team mates as well as having an equally good a weapon as other kits.

Not much more to say really. But to anyone who is thinking of buying a new FPS, i highly recommend BF2142, and if your not into all the high caliber weapons ect and driving hovering tanks with the generally futuristic feeling then give BF2 a try - an equally good game in the series.
