An excellent title. It isn't as innovative as some of the other RTS's on the market, like Supreme Commander or Company of Heroes. The game is a blast. Hell, I really like playing an older style of RTS like this then some of the newer RTSs. Gameplay is fast and fun, and the graphics are pretty nice considering there is no unit cap. Multiplayer is pretty good as well. Only thing wrong for me is some pathfinding bugs and scaling issues, but all-in-all, it's a nice game, especially for the C&C crowd.

This game is a reversion to the original C & C, the game play is poor and slow in comparision and the scenarios poorly thought out. It looses all the good parts of its prequals and is very very dissapointing.

Yet another quality Command & Conquer game.

Having only of owned Red Alert 2 i thought it to be time to buy another rts game, and then i realised Tiberium Wars had been released and as i had played Tib Sun and other C&C games i thought why not? The graphics are exceptional with high detailed units. Everything about the game is brilliant. The AI is harder and more advanced and the maps are new. However the maps are few and not all of them are enjoyable, nevertheless world builder has been released and unnoficial maps are being made which so far seem to be good. There can be a few difficulties playing online but with the 4th patch being released things seem to be ok. I have heard of online problems with alot of EA games including this one however it is fairly straightforward to overcome them.
My message to you: BUY IT

I bought this game with high expectations after playing all C&C/Red Alert games (exc. Renegade). I was also a massive fan of Tib Sun, which also hightened expectations.

This game was fun for a bit, but soon realised it was nothing really special, the AI has been greatly improved, but there is a lack of units for each race, limiting tactics, also i feel the maps are very small, making rushing (to and from AI) an easy option.

One big improvement is being able to select what kind of tactics your enemy AI will play. This does help give a variety with game play.

Although i recommend buying this game, there are better titles out there currently, and i have already reverted back to C&C Generals: Zero Hour.

Awful RTS game compared to rivals such as DOW & LOTR

          | | See all Jemmo9's reviews (2)

In a word "poor". I am a big fan of RTS games and spend my gaming time switching between these, Football Manager and racing games on the XBOX 360 so I'm quite picky about what games get my limited time and along with many I was eagerly awaiting the release of C&C 3 as I had recently been enjoying playing DOW and LOTR but once I bought and loaded this I couldn't believe how poor it is. The graphics are blurry and the speed of the game is very slow. The whole gameplay system is not user friendly and I think that the developers have spent more time recruiting famous actors for the cut scenes than testing the gameplay. This game is living off the C&C franchise name and will probably do well enough from that alone but if this was the first C&C game there wouldn't be so much hype for future releases. A very boring and slow game.
