BioShock is a revolution in the shooter genre that will forever change the expectations for the FPS. Going beyond "run and gun corridors," "monster-closet AIs" and static worlds, BioShock creates a living, unique and unpredictable FPS experience. BioShock is the Shooter 2.0.
After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more. Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors as little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn.

Are games as valid a form of art as film, music or painting? If this is your example then the answer is a resounding yes! The art direction, the script, acting and plot are on par with anything Hollywood has to offer. The environments could have been designed by William Van Alen. The plot penned by Philip K Dick and the acting could be any of the movie industries finest. This really is as good as it gets. The game plays like a FPS but with RPG undertones. The story hooks you from the beginning and drives on, twisting and turning, never letting you up for breath, storytelling at its finest.

The DRM protection in this game is a nightmare making the game crash constantly. This is a common problem and has not been rectified.
