         Feel the Power

This Game Kicks A** if your last, a well placed Shot from a power up can get you back in the Race. The Graphics and sound are on par with NFS and since release Iv'e only had 1 Crash to desktop and that could of been anything. It's a Fast Paced Racer that holds well from single player to co op and Online Multiplayer the Action doesn't Stop. Worth a Buy.

This is the second recent release of a power-up type racing game following on from Split Second (which I also have). They have touted this as a "Mario Kart for adults" and whilst in premise that may be correct, but for me in practice it's not quite that.

It seems these days all racing games are focusing a heck of a lot on presentation within the menus, and Blur does this quite well and the transitions between them and the races is very smooth - something that cannot be said of the PC version of Split Second.

The races themselves are fast paced and it is quite possible to gain the lead and with skill pull away from the AI opponents - another thing Split Second fails on with its mysterious catchups.

As for progression, the game has plenty of tracks, plenty of licensed cars, and the graphics are very good. I'm yet to try out the multiplayer, but I no doubt will once I've played it another day or so. But it does look promising.

Best online / multiplayer racing game

Simply (one of) the best online multiplayer racing games. The power-ups are nicely balanced. Being able to keep 3 power-ups and use them forwards/backwards with often different characteristics ensures that you always have to choose wisely. Doing this whilst in the middle of a pack and following the track makes for an exhiliarating experience. No race is the same, and almost every race has great moments, even if you end up last. Splitscreen is great for local play too, but the (important) rearview mirror is absent then.

Forget about Revolt (pc) or Mario Kart, this is the real thing!

Only real negative: you need an Xbox 360 gamepad for Windows (workarounds for other pads like ce360 make the game crash or don't work as well)

This game is truly amazing, its not just about racing, its about avoiding the other 20 players as they try to beat your car to nothing, the only chance youll have is if your good at it or you get far enough ahead they cant touch you, even then, youll get the odd shunt coming at you.

It really does get hectick at times, incredible fun!

Also, the only gaming is no different to the single player, meaning u can level up in multiplayer instead of just racing. There is some real skill involved.
