Although not as anti-FM09 as many people, I must say that this latest incarnation is a huge improvement. For once it's not full of tiny tweaks and colour changes, but quite a radical revamp. So far the game has played quickly, smoothly and it looks good. The game has got a lot deeper (so non footy geeks may struggle) and the interaction much more realistic. The new tabbed menus take a little getting used to for long time players of this genre, but works well I think. My one small gripe is that the highlights seem to concentrate sometimes on totally irrelevant passages of play, but all in all, a fantastic new edition and highligh recommended.
this game is wicked, you know your addicted to this game when your playing it and you look at your watch and its 5am. again. it takes over your life. what a game
I heard prior to buying this product that it had been completely revamped, layout wise. I dont play demos i like to wait for the real thing. Its amazing how much its gone forward since the first management game i played "CM2", even though that was an unbeliavable game. Its taken me a little bit of time to get used to where everything is on FM10 but i think im there and im LOVING it!! Its annoying me having to work al the time, im tempted to take a day unpaid just to spend some real time with this game. Some people say that CM10 is better? Not in a million years, hence why CM10 is now available for £14.99. All in all a great success, Congratulations on a great version and THANK YOU for creating such an awesome game, i dont know what i would be into without it!! :)
I gave up on football management games a few years ago until FM 2010. I have now been testing the full version of FM 10 for 2 weeks and am amazed of the progress made by the developer. Be careful this game is so realistic it's really addictive.... Championship manager 2010 is put to shame by the football manager 2010 realism. This is game is a must have.
Another great FM game, have been a fan for a very long time going back to the CM days. It has gotten more detailed, not necessarily harder, as it allows you more options for the way you play. The in game shouts are a great addition and make you feel more involved in the match day experience. I am however getting tired fo the press conferences which seem to have increased in frequency since the last FM game.
The details of this management game can't be beaten but i would like a bit more of a fun side, like mentioned in an earlier review a stadium feature would be welcome, along with a commercial side that i have seen with other management games as it would offer a welcome break from the stats analysis even if just for 5/10 mins.
The other thing i think that needs a total revamp is the training system as at times it becomes a bit tiresome as its hard to see an in game effect from little tweaks and the training system as a whole can be easily forgotten about with no negative impact.
Don't get me wrong the game is excellent and a must for all football management fans, but i think i will wait until FM12 before i buy the next installment.
