Barrow Hill is a gripping horror thriller, set in the Cornish landscape of England and told from a first person perspective. The Cornwall based developers have succeeded in transforming the local dark legends into a very immersive gaming experience. From eerie woodlands to desolate farm buildings, the game world of Barrow Hill is very much alive, and keeps the players looking over their shoulder.
Your character arrives stranded on the lonely road during the Autumn Equinox and you have just one night to unravel a sinister plot. Explore the pathways across the country side, seek clues in almost forgotten shrines and experience the ancient forces which exist in the standing stone monument known as Barrow Hill. Following in the footsteps of the well-known archaeologist Conrad Morse, you will discover that the barrow is more than just a mound of earth and a collection of forgotten standing stones. However, not all archaeology is constructive, for some things should be left buried and undisturbed. But perhaps it is too late for that...

An excellent game for the intelligent pc adventure gamer. Definately not a shoot-em- up death and destruction game. This epic is for myst fans. The graphic work is outstanding; a suberb collection of artwork from the creator matt clark. Puzzle solving is logical. The game also contains a great deal of information on megalihic sites and cornish myths fr those interested in gaining information onsuch topics nd several easrter eggs can be discovered ( pets and people). This is a game to be played several times to explore all the infomation and listen to everything contained in it. Super fun sound track depicting various characters especially on the radios. A real gem. Looking forward to another masterpiece in the near future well done shadow tor studios. Great support website too with even more information
Even mum's can play too!

I got this for christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it! The bird in the dustbins made me jump a few times, especially as I was wearing headphones. The music had the heart racing, its very atmospheric - I confess I am incapable of playing the games my husband and son play - and yes they do laugh at me with my "point and clicks". Their sniggering aside, I confess to having had a very entertaining few evenings playing this game. If you want a some time to yourself and a test for the grey matter then go ahead and buy it!
