Rome: Total War
Storm clouds gather over Europe, Asia and North Africa as mighty armies march forward in Rome: Total War. Command the greatest forces of the ancient world, including the Roman Legions, Carthage and Gaul; lay siege to civilisations using powerful war engines; and decimate your enemies using special units like ferocious war dogs, armoured elephants or Scythed chariots. In Rome: Total War the most epic, cinematic real-time 3D battles ever seen in a game come to life with awe-inspiring graphics. Vast armies are led by brilliant generals such as Hannibal, leader of the Carthaginians and Julius Caesar, Rome's greatest general and leader. The mightiest armies and the most brilliant commanders of ancient times clash in an epic war game only Total War can create.

Rome: Total War - Alexander
An all-new campaign map extends the Rome: Total War experience further Eastward than ever before, taking you into Macedonia and the Persian Empire. A host of new content includes four new factions and 60 all-new units such as Alexander's Phalangists. Six new historical battles offer you the chance to experience Alexander's key clashes and a redesigned campaign game forces you to press ever onward or risk failing to match Alexander's ferocious pace of conquest.

Rome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion
A shadow falls across the Roman world. It is 363 AD and the last Emperor of the unified Rome is dead. His successors now rule a divided Empire. Beyond the frontiers of the sundered Empire new enemies are lurking. The barbarians are at the gates in this official expansion pack for Rome: Total War!

This Game for me is the best game ever made. The two before this were also amazing games but this is a differnet level of quality. From the civilisation/Risk style city and map managent to the battles which are much like those of the warhammer shadow of the horned rat and dark omen only much much better. So much replay value as there are loads of early civilastions to choose from included 3 different roman factions scippio, bruti and juli, greeks, macedionians, Selucids, egyptions, pontus, armianian, britions, germans plus a few more. I still play this game on occasions even after completeing it with most of the races its that good. Play on the hardest settings and your in for a real challenge for early world domination. The two add ons are ok Alexander lets you conquere persia not the best but ok. Barbarian invasion adds differnet empires like mongals, goths and the roman empire divided into west and east, and religian plays a big part again not the best but ok.
For 15 pound a steal for the best game ever in my opionion

 Always a 5 Start!

This game is awesome, it offers what a Strategy game should offer.

It is as in depth as civilization but you can fight all the battles yourself.. or skip them if you decide not to.. (what ever takes your pick lol)

You have control of an army of thousands, down to the individual squads of units. And who better than the Roman Legions or perhaps the Spartans.. You can choose one of many countries/factions and can command them to world domination. If you have yet to enjoy the games that are Total War then this is the game to get.. Easily and always will be a 5 star.

 A very good game

The game will get very addictive, and even though it is slightly repeatitive, you will carry on playing and find it hard to stop until you have conquered the world.
