Halo is a sci-fi shooter that takes place on a mysterious alien ring-world. Packed with combat, Halo will have you battling on foot, and in vehicles, inside and outdoors with Alien and Human weaponry. Your objective: to uncover Halo's horrible secrets and destroy mankind's sworn enemy, the Covenant.

Huge Weapon Variety: Vanquish your enemies with a vast array of Human or Covenant weaponry ranging from the stealthy (semi-automatic pistols and needler guns) to the fierce (rocket launchers and flame throwers).

  • Vehicle and Foot-Based Action: Tackle missions anyway you choose - be it storming an enemy base or taking the wheel or gunnery position of a variety of powerful vehicles. Vehicles range from stolen Covenant flyers to Human buggies and more.

Indoor and Outdoor Combat: Fight seamlessly in Halo's ultra-realistic indoor and outdoor environments as you hunt the Covenant in a variety of single player missions and multiplayer battles.

Incredible Mission Variety: Fight the Covenant in a variety of missions as you uncover the dark secrets of Halo. Among your many objectives / attack enemy outposts, raid underground labs for advanced technology, rescue fallen comrades, steal alien vehicles and weaponry and snipe enemy forces.

Reality Bending Special Effects: Halo features the most advanced graphic system on the most advanced gaming platform in the world. Gunfire rips off the screen, explosions light up a living room, and environments blur the line between your couch and fantasy.

Excellent Conversion from Xbox to Pc

One of the Xbox's best first person shooters, ever...
The conversion to the PC was brilliant, however a powerful PC Is required for maximum visual and gameplay experience... I recommend a Dual Core AMD Athlon 64, which is what runs our PC's here and there are no problems...

        Definatly a must-buy!

This game has been around for a few good years now, and yet it still has everything a gamer might want. Every game you play is different and the games are just intensely fun. If you have not got this game yet, you are truely missing out... and if you have the game... its worth the second buy :P

I 100% loved this game, i have never known a game with such a good balance of weapons, vehicles, grandes etc. Awesome story line , and very good online if you have a good Internet connection. Once you start the story line you wont be able to stop it. And the online its a good laugh. Hope you enjoy!

good, but should have bought it earlier

ive heard about this game ever since it came out, about its great gameplay and fantastic graphics.finally, after getting a pc, i bought it.trouble is, i had already bought far cry,and whilst halo is on par with far cry regarding the graphics, all else fails.firstly, the enemy/aliens.most are comical, resembling and acting like stupid annoying clowns.at least in far cry the A.I is fantastic, where with halo, the aliens just run around ,sometimes just standing waiting to be killed.the bigger aliens are the same, and absolutely have no menace about them whatsoever.in far cry, the mercs/hybrid monsters had intelligence and a certain menace about them.in halo, the aliens are about as menacing as a limp lettuce.halo requires absolutely no thought or judgement from the player apart from making sure he/she has plenty of ammo, because that is all halo is: keep running and keep shooting at anything that moves. saying that, one of the saving graces of this game are the various vehicles you can ride.it is also quite easy to pack this game in the middle, not really caring, apart from wanting to finish it just for something to do.yeah, i agree, the graphics are superb, but as any gamer will tell you,if the gameplay aint there, or a very thin plot, then its a shame.

This is a classic Xbox game on PC. Can now be found quite cheaply. Worth adding to any collection.

Run and gun type game play that works well even in December 2007.
