Eve Online

Ive been playing EVE for three years now, the start can be a slight frustrating because you have so much you can do and so much you have to earn the right to do (you have a tutorial that helps you start the game and gain a feel for what you need to be doing), (but that is short lived) everything in this game revolves around a massive universe an average players on line number is usually 30- 40'000 at peak game times, but the game is so massive you just cant comprehend how many are actuall playing. You start off as a brand new shiny alien person of your choice and there are four races to choose from "Minmatar, Caldari, Amarr and Gallante" all have different attributes for you to develope. The game runs on a real life persective of Skills and finances, IE you have a little ship to start with and as you progress yo can buy a bigger better one , but only when you have enough money and skills to fly it. skills also cost money to buy and time to learn (everything costs in eve...just like R/L). ways in which you can explore the game vary vastly so a cut down expl' of it is: PVP fighting other players , corporations and alliances, trading of general everything like stock markets etc, and mining for ore and minerals. All of these will at some time on a regular basis envolve fighting with other players or computer generated pirates, everthing is randomly generated so no two hours are the same. you travel accross the universe through solar syatem warp gates, if you were to travel from one edge of EVE to the other it would take you at least an hour or two depening on PVP, Traps and Pirates. The graphics are in two stages normal and enhanced the normal ones are good, but the enhanced will blow your mind. Thats just a little tip of the iceberg for you in explaining what EVE's about, but if you want more check out EVE-ONLINE for the deepest insight. Best game i've ever played. Even better now that the graphics have been upgraded. This is the only mmorpg you need.

So good , so impressive EvE Online becomes a way of life not just a simple game. Imagine the 1980 classic Elite with every ship you fly past being a real live online person. Simply Fantastic.
