Operating under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors is called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators. There are more than 2 million Americans who proudly wear the uniform, of which some 50,000 fall under the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane above and beyond even this select group. Their exact numbers, while classified, are believed to be in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence.

Medal of Honor's gritty single-player campaign is inspired by and developed with actual Tier 1 Operators, and gives you the unique ability to step into their boots. Utilize the surgical skill set of these elite warriors -- in combination with the overwhelming force of the U.S. Army Rangers - to infiltrate enemy-held territories in the unforgiving battlefield conditions of Afghanistan. This unparalleled experience offers the most authentic and relevant combat to date.

Getting back to the core of heart-pounding, all-out action, Medal of Honor multiplayer plays out in close quarters where the individual player's skill is the most important tool for survival. Two teams of up to twelve players battle against one another on eight custom maps in the unforgiving mountains, valleys, and cities of Afghanistan. The unique game modes feature modern-day vehicles, realistic destruction, plus a weapon customization system that grants you access to hundreds of combinations of mods. When the battle is over, see how you stack up against other players on the game's skill-specific leaderboards.

    Limited Edition Includes:

MP-7 - Exclusively in the Limited Edition, is a weapon utilized by Tier 1 Operators in the field. With its light weight, high rate of fire as well as its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle

TOZ194 and 870MCS Shotguns and Slugs - Get instant access to these two devastating shotguns and more powerful ammo for close-range fights

Spec Ops Class Camouflage - Players can don this unique camouflage to help them disappear into the environment as well as distinguish themselves from the other standard grunts

I have played both the closed and open BETAs for this and although the open BETA was an improvement on the closed BETA it was still pants.

The whole thing is spammy as hell mostly due to the maps being about the size of a shoebox!

Although the game looks and sounds fantastic the gameplay which in my opinion is the most important element of any game, falls flat on its face.

It is as simple as this; If you like MW2 then you should like this as that is what this game is trying to be (with much better graphics and sound).

If you like proper fps games that actually have: Guns with recoil, no gimmicky perks, decent sized maps, team play and proper PC support (spectate, mod tools etc) then dont waste your money on this trash, you will probably regret it.

Ofcourse all of the above is based on MP gameplay and not SP, so if you are thinking about buying this for the single player campaign only, disregard the above.

 Fantastic

This game is excellent. Only been playingthe Beta for a few days but the game is almost ready to go as is. This game includes all the great aspects of modern war games such as modern warfare 2and bad company 2, but somehow keeps the honest and fun simplicity of previous MOH games and the Quake Series. Just go buy it

 A very 'LIMITED' edition indeed

Firstly please excuse the lack of correct punctuation as I had to remove it all in order to post GRRRR!

With 3 modes to this game Single player Tier 1 and Multi player youre spoilt for choice WRONG. The clue is really in the title as this is a very limited game. Im a veteran of FPS games all the way back to DOOM and this is by far the biggest pile of poop I have ever played. Let me elaborate.

Single player is way way too short and riddled with more bugs than the bullet holes in your Taliban targets. The bugs are the worst Ive ever experienced forcing entire missions to be replayed because a trigger fails to happen which is required to advance the story. This has happened to me on numerous occasions in ALL except 1 of the missions. I have spent 12 hours playing the game but at least 9 of that is repeating missions to try and get them to work and another hour or so wandering around with nothing happening solely trying to activate triggers. Were the play testers all asleep or did they test it on PS3 and get so bored they couldnt face the PC version and just signed it off.

To highlight how short the SP game is lets look at Tier 1. This is basically a replay of the short SP game but with NO checkpoints so no re-spawns and a load of stats added. For example longest sniper kill most headshots highest accuracy and shortest completion time you get the picture. In the completion time stats EA give you a par time for completing each mission which equates to a total SP game time of ONLY 3hrs 8mins 30 sec. So they are admitting from the off that this is no SP game but you have to buy the thing to find out. Heres the kicker though any experienced fps gamer will complete each of the levels (if they worked) in around half the par time even on the hardest settings. That gives you a real-world SP game time of just over 1.5 hours. Thats 20 pounds an hour people!

Multiplayer fares no better Im afraid with broken connections and unreliable servers. When you do eventually manage a game its a sniper free-for-all with the outcome mainly decided on where you initially spawn and how quickly you can get to a camping site to assume the position. An early death will just be followed by more of the same regardless of how good you are. There is currently a complete lack of balance within the game as a result. On the plus side there is a patch due imminently which may address the MP issues. Nothing so far for SP though.

Give it a miss folks and save yourself the grief. I wish I had :-(

Can't beleive how short the single player was......all these months and months of hype for a few hours of single player, downloaded last night, finished this afternoon, hav'nt actually been at it for long. Gob smacked how dissapointed it is, that being said......good gameplay, great multiplayer, pretty good maps and great cinematics.
