Toca RD2 is essentially an upgrade from the first Toca Race Driver, which graphically still looks great in itself. RD2 throws tons of cars and tons of tracks and tons of events at you - some a lot more pleasant than others. The rally sections are quite poorly done and look and feel cheap - very strange when you consider that Codemasters developed the Colin McCrae series. It's more than a little irritating when you watch 4x4's zoom round corners in the mud, pouring rain and darkness, when you're left sliding all over the track like a shopping trolley. Always on hand to shout bizarre inaneties like "go for third" when you're on your final lap placed 15th and all the other competitors are about to cross the line is your promoter "Scotty" (so named because, well, he's Scottish - absolute genius I'm sure you'll agree). Despite his annoying whiskey-induced comments during your race, the cut scenes with him are incredible pieces of computer animation and a pleasure to watch. The graphics are first class, the handling is top notch. With so many tracks and events and cars you can't argue with this title. It's a strong game and Toca Race Driver 3 really doesn't add much at all - they really hit the peak with this one in my opinion.
