Ok ill keep this short and sweet. I love this game. The single player is solid and engaging the multiplayer is immense and parts of the game really are authentic (im in the military id like to think i know). I would recommend this to anyone well worth the money 10 out of 10 in all aspects of the game.
I can only speak for myself so this may not please everybody. I have had no issues what so ever with game, install went well, SP is a good FPS, controls work just fine and the graphics are great.
MP is good fun and again, no issues what so ever,
I have a very fast internet connection and a high end PC, so maybe this helps.
If your on the fence with this one i would have to say get it, SP alone is worth it, and it works for me.
Medal of Honor Warfighter is a typical modern, terrorist driven shoot em' up game, if buying with the intention of wanting to vent some of your first person shooter passion then it is money well spent.
After about 15 minutes into the campaign, i was stunned with the visuals. The opening sequence is something else! Also the cinematography between each mission is flawless, well some of the voice acting is not the greatest but the actual aesthetic look of the cut scenes are lovely. I don't know if they did not transfer perfectly to the PC or if it was my system but they did get a little choppy at times. None the less, i enjoyed this game. After reading Metacritics reviews and IGN's review i bought this with the hope that it would be better than the reviews have said. And it most certainly was.
If you fancy a full on shoot em' up game, with some good looks and feel, then i do recommend this game!
All the worst aspects of modern military shooters rolled into one horrendous example. I like military shooters in general, but this 1 has no right to exist, and indeed it seems to feel that you, as the player, are often in the way and it does it's best to kill you or punish you for daring to not do EXACTLY WHAT IT WANTS WHEN IT WANTS IT.
If you don't shoot, the game kills things for you.
If you want to explore the world a bit, the game instantly kills you.
The section where you have to control the deathbot instead of getting to shoot guys yourself is just... tedious at best.
For multiplayer, other games like Black Ops 2 or BF3 do it much better, for single player pretty much any other modern FPS has just as good if not better guns and feel, has MUCH less "hand holding", has a better campaign and generally is a more enjoyable experience in every aspect.
I don't know why this travesty of a game exists when it's developers clearly just wanted to make a film and feel that your presence itself is an unwanted necessity.
DO NOT BUY. There are many, many much better examples of the genre out there!
So, this game... on the PC, the controls are clunky and unresponsive. Even with the mouse settings to quite high, there's definite issues with tracking your mouse movements.
The control system is poorly thought out, though a controller or key binding session will sort this out.
The multiplayer? Terrible. You're forced to spawn with only 2 seconds (literally) to choose if its on your buddy or home zone.
If someone has you in their sights, they will undoubtedly kill you in about 0.3 seconds.
Oh, and the enemies are capable of spawn killing you... over and over.
NOT what I had expected seeing as I enjoyed the last MOH.
There is no back out options while in a multiplayer game (I had to ALT F4 to get out of a game that was dying as soon as I spawned over and over) which also lets it down massively.
Between missions I find it throws me out of the MOH screen to change mission (before throwing me back in).
The one redeeming thing I have seen thus far is that the graphics are absolutely lovely - but this isn't enough to redeem the game.
No offence to play.com, they're selling this game at a reasonable price and ship as expected (very fast) but the game itself is terrible.
