Codemasters Studios are back with a totally reinvigorated McRae experience for the first time on PlayStation 3. Colin McRae: DiRT will go beyond the series point-to-point rallying to deliver the most diverse selection of extreme off-road competitions ever. Sensational gravel, mud and dirt racing events from the world over will include perilous Hill Climb and collision-packed Rally Cross events.

International rallying competitions will also feature, with official cars on tracks based on real roads and locations around the globe. Colin McRae: DiRT will also expand on beat-the-clock racing and include events with multiple cars on track to satisfy anyone who wants to push their on-the-edge driving and rallying ability just that bit further.

DiRT 3 will boast more cars, more locations, more routes and more events than any other game in the series, including over 50 rally cars representing the very best from five decades of the sport. With more than double the track content of 2009s hit, DiRT 3 will see players start at the top as a professional driver, with a top-flight career in competitive off-road racing complimented by the opportunity to express themselves in Gymkhana-style showpiece driving events.
As players race to elevate their global standing, DiRT 3 delivers mud, sweat and gears world over: from the intense weather-beaten rally stages of Europe, Africa and the US, to executing performance driving showcases and career challenges where car control is pushed to spectacular limits.

Slight overreaction by the guy before me...

This isn't "half a game" at all, it's an excellent game. The "tonne" of other stuff that other person is referring to is the DLC available with the game, just like a lot of games these days (so the person before me doesn't really understand modern day gaming).

There is already enough content on DiRT 3 without this DLC, but it was just added later on for fans to enjoy the game for longer; keeping it fresh. It's called longevity. Duh.

So ignore that person before me and buy this game if you like DiRT 2, or even if you're a fan of any old racing game, for DiRT 3 is spectacular fun.

It's not the most realistic game, but it certainly delivers a well balanced experience, between arcade and realism, with some absolutely stunning visuals. It's heavily focussed on Rally, influenced by the WRC, with a plethora of other events and game modes for you to take part in.

Multiplayer in this game is great too; you can race in any event that features in single player, so this will keep you playing right up until the launch of DiRT 4 (which hasn't been officially announced just yet).

Although the racing and game play is ok, (and only ok) there are loads of extras to buy. Such a limited choice of cars unless you buy more, some races are only playable if you purchase them. The game is linked to your M$ live account so cannot be sold on second hand unless they don't want to play online or have the option of saving their progress.

Good price from play though and speedy delivery
