Review

Enemy Engaged 2 is the sequel to the best selling chopper classic - Enemy Engaged: RAH-66 Comanche Versus Ka-52 Hokum. A game that received universal praise for its dynamic and ground breaking content that maintains a large player base even today.
Released in 2000, the original Enemy Engaged set the standard for 21st century flight sims with stunningly realistic visuals and attention to detail. Enemy Engaged 2 is set to take the series even further with new dynamic missions and a complete overhaul of the graphics and audio to bring the game up to date with the latest and best flight simulations available.

"The best helicopter simulator on the market, bar none." - PC Gamer

"I only wish I didn't have to turn my attention to other games to review, as my many hours with this title have persuaded me I'm only scratching the surface of this very dynamic sim." - ign.com

Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars This IS the original, not a sequel, IMHO - stay away

Having played and thoroughly enjoyed Razorworks' Apache Havoc in '98 and Comanche Hokum in 2000 I thought I'd give this a whirl.

To be frank I think this IS the Comanche Hokum released in 2000, rebadged by the guys at G2, tweaked to work on XP and with "Voice Control", but that is about it.

The graphics are the same, the in-game voices are the same, the campaigns are the same, the user guide is the same. It ALL looks and sounds and feels the same.

So if you've NOT played the original and are willing to invest some time learning how to fly to survive then this IS a good challenging and absorbing game.

If you've played the original then don't encourage the guys at G2, who seem to be basically flogging a 7 year old game that - as far as I can see - they have done little to beyond packaging and advertising.

IMHO this is NOT a sequel - this IS the game from 7 years ago in new packaging. Caveat emptor - the only defence against unscrupulous East European ripoff merchants

Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTE PONY

What a waste of money! No significant improvement from the original - the developers are just re-marketing an old, and at the time, fantastic game. Don't be fooled by the fancy video on the website either! Spend your money elsewhere. You'll be dissapointed if you waste it on this rubbish.
