Excellent conversion of an over-rated game

I begin to think that console games are often a bit over-rated. I read some reviews of the original version for x-box and I would have expected something better. Don't get me wrong, the game is not bad, the convertion is excellent, the graphics are good and the sound is amazing, but it is the game playability that lacks something: it is a mix of RPG and Action game but Jade Empire doesn't excel in neither of the two.
The story is long, but not always very interesting and there are a lot of useless dialogs or quests that could make the game become even a bit boring after a while.
Other "weak" points are that the protagonist hasn't got very much "carisma" (like Lara Croft, to tell one easy example) and that the difficulty level is not well balanced, in fact the fights against "living persons" (demons and humans) are too easy, while fights against ghosts are at times very difficult (because you cannot use the sword against them).
In conclusion nice game, but don't expect a masterpiece.

     Great Game

this game is fantastic!! if you are keen on gaining levels on chacters or wanting a game that will last you ages then this is the game for you. this game is pack full of weapons, martial art combat and mystical powers and quests. the only disadvantage to this game is that it is a bit repetitative but all in all a great game.

     Awesome

This game is fantastic... you just can't win with some people giving it bad reviews :/

Easily the best RPG game I've ever played (I'm not including MMO's like WoW... obv..) I played it on the Xbox and was extremely impressed, so I got the PC version too!

A great storyline, amazing KOTOR style "good-bad" personality which can change the path of the game.

    GET IT.

     Disappointed

Right from the very beginning this game never interested me, the cut scenes had boring action that made me want to skip them. Although the story is long....theres no drastic or interesting features in the story, it's a bit dull, and as for the moves in the game u learn, they aren't hard to master at all. Later in the game, levelling seems to have no effect as u already have the skills and moves u want. The game is also quite frustrating at times, like taking ages to get out of a town to fight some enemies, and even then there isn't much to fight before u get to another town.
