Following from the original, this is a fantastic remake. There are complaints about the redesigned gameplay - the use of the mouse, the automatic grab, and the cut-scenes that require the users involvement, but once you adapt (naturally quickly) to the new style of gameplay, you wont look back.
The game runs on a single level style basis - moving from level to level with no cuts or breaks between each level, giving the player a more involved feeling. Some great moments fighting huge creatures - all very cinematic since the movies, and lara ofcourse looking great in Anniversary.
The puzzle solving is made a little easier by the Journal feature - enabling to you keep track of laras thoughts and ideas, meaning there are never those moments where you turn off because of lack of progress.
Graphics-wise, on high settings, high quality 3d environments and characters, immensly dynamic lighting.
The game does lack the mechanics of the older tomb raider, Eidos & Core going for what turns out to be a much smoother gameplay - no more walking up to the edge, hopping back and holding jump.
If you can be patient and accept the changes, then overall a great game and a must buy for all the tomb raider fans out there.
