I delayed buying this game because i didnt think it would work on my vista laptop, but after playing it on my mates quite a lot i couldnt resist taking a risk and i brought it... works fine, at first i had to re-install it a couple if times as it insisted that there was no disc! at this point i thought damn risk didnt pay off, but simply by re-installing it that once it now works perfectly and all campaigns and battles are great! if u have vista and are worried about this not working, dont worry! it works on my vista!! buy it!

I bought this for my brother but will have to buy myself a copy soon! It is a brilliant game and the four different crusades each offer different game features. The new playable 'countries' also have a thoroughly thought out unit makeup including unique units.

The expansion brings much more content to the game and I'm yet to find something which leaves me feeling disappointed by it. If you're a fan of the first game, or the Total War series, then dig up the cash to get this too!

The Total War crew have done it again and totally blown me away with another great game. Ive had to leave this review really long until I analysed every aspect of the game. The fact is, if your completely new to any Total War this isn't really the place to start; for starting I recommend Medieval Total War 1. This game really completes what MTW2 couldn't quite do. The gameplay is excellent and great fun. The new features are a doddle to pick up as well. The best of the campaigns is probably the Britannia campaign because it offers a first person insight to a fascinating part of English history. The other three campaigns are fun too. But dont buy this game if your computer only just makes the minimum requirements - its virtually unplayable at that level. I recommend to any hardcore strategy gamer. The second its installed, go looking for the latest patches to avoid any bugs that are in the game (I've found a few). Every game has bugs, its a given. This is gaming at its peak. Awesome.

The game just shows the total war series at its best. Multiplayer campain with a mate is seriously fun, play with 1 or 5 friends as you take on the new campains and with the improvement of the original campain to play multiplayer as well. All of the new campains are great some being easier than others but not to take lightly. No faults with the game. If you have the original this is a must!

This is a great expansion pack to a great game. It introduces a full 4 further campaign maps, I absolutely love these, especially the various events that can occur, such as further countries arriving in the New World or like wise Crusades in the Crusade campaign.

The game requires quite a decent system to run on full, but it runs quite well on lower-spec systems also while retaining its high graphic quality.

To me the game has never been a true RTS it offers more than just the usual build up and batter game play. You care about your empire, slighted when betrayed by a devious neighbour, pleased with some well placed espeinage against a more powerful foe, Total War is more a lesson in warfare, a war simulation. Since this glorious series began back with Shogun in what seems like forever ago Total War has gone from strength to strength and Kingdoms expands its power even more so.

The campaigns are well put together with a few little surprises thrown in to keep you on your toes, although some are easier than others but thats not really a major issue. The new units are all well balanced and game play is much as it was before, unique, engrossing and rewarding.
The only down side i have with the expansion is that apart from the 4 campaigns that concentrate on specific moments in history, it offers not much more else to the original game, a few extra missions from the guilds and the odd spattering of historical events here and there. That aside its an engaging expansion that proves why Total War is the leader of the pack and I for one can't wait for Empires.

4 stars for the scope and hours of play with no game ever being the same.

BE WARNED

This game includes a embedded security program called SecRom which secretly installs itself on your PC and cannot be removed. Even if you later uninstall the game.

This program prevents you copying the gaming disk, however, it also has the ability to act as a Trojan for options that will monitor and report on your PC activity for marketing purposes, may interfere with other software already on your PC, and could provide an open door for expliotation by other virus writers.

Do not instal this game on your PC until you have satisfied yourself that you are happy with the the risks.

This game is absolutely stunning, but you must make sure you have the system requirements or the game is very jerky and slow.
